A Dreamy Kind of Vacation!! Topped off by 4 Parks in One Day!

Wow, wow, wow. It was just amazing. I love cruises, this was my 6th, and this ship did not disappoint!!:sohappy:

What: This was a Disney Dream preview cruise. Earmarked agencies like Kingdom Konsultants were able to attend. This was the cruise before the maiden voyage. Pam was awesome and took as many agents as she could.

Who: This ended up being another girl’s cruise! My hubby’s base is preparing for a large inspection so he knew he couldn’t get away. I just took the kids out of school in October for a week at WDW, so they were out! Girl's cruise!

Here’s me, travel agent forced to go to Disney and take Disney cruises as often as possible. Now a preview cruise on the Dream? Man this job just keeps getting harder.:

My sister. See the resemblance?

DisneyDream120_filtered.jpg

My mom. She’s been on a few of my cruises and did not want to miss this one!

DisneyDream439_filtered.jpg

My dear friend Misty. She is a Disney fanatic. Has been as long as I’ve known her. When I called and asked her to go, she was literally screaming into the phone! Now that's the kind of reaction I like!

DisneyDream436_filtered.jpg

Last but certainly not least, several of the Kingdom Konsultants were on this cruise, so here we are! Not a great picture, but it's a funny story that will be told later in the trip report. :lookaroun From left to right here's Marie, Richard, Pam, Me and Jenell:

After Christmas ended, I felt like I was finally able to get excited for this trip. The first thing I did after all my out of town company left was get out my suitcase!! :sohappy: The next thing I did was look at our flight times again. As it was, I was the last to arrive. I can’t stand that!! My sister and mom would be calling me from Disney and torturing me while I was still in transit! I decided to call United and see what they could do about that. Well what do you know, they had an earlier flight they could switch me to! I was getting there 30 minutes after the first person to arrive, my sister. I wasn’t even going to let her leave the airport without me!

It's going to take a few days to process all of my pics so this report may take a while! Here's a sneak preview though. This is a video of our first trip down the Aqua Duck! You have a lovely view of my toes in this video. I don't know if this will work or not. If no one can start the video let me know:

Tammy, I don't know how you, Holly, and Kelly do it - but it seems that every time I'm having a rough go one of you posts a TR to keep me going. Love you all.

THIS is amazing, also - we're going in August and I can't even handle how excited I am right now, hahha. Keep 'er coming, I need you!

oh that window in the floor

i want to play in the kids splash area. can an adult walk thru there?

I didn't think you'd like that window, Louella!

There were certainly adults in the splash area with their kids. You may look a little strange without one.:)

Awesome TR!!! Love it! Thanks for sharing it

Thanks, DisneyPrincess!

I'm sorry you're having a hard time! I'm so excited you're going in August though!!

Oh that adult's only pool is totally calling my name right now! :D

I think I hear that call too!!

All the KK agents had verandah rooms right next to each other! I was so excited they gave us a verandah room. The verandahs are wonderful. It's so nice to go look out at the ocean in your pjs!

Here’s our room:

DisneyDream183_filtered.jpg

There’s no more inserting of key cards by the way. Just hold it up to a little black box outside the door.

No more sliding closet doors either. If you've ever been woken up by them swinging back and forth, you'll be happy to hear that!

The iPod docking station/alarm clock is another welcome addition.

Here’s the desk area:

DisneyDream190_filtered.jpg

The staterooms feel very similar to the Magic with some differences. The bed is higher and does accommodate suitcase underneath a little easier. The bedding is so comfortable. Like sleeping on a cloud! I need this pillow:

DisneyDream193_filtered.jpg

DisneyDream191_filtered.jpg

DisneyDream194_filtered.jpg

I thought I had a picture of the ceiling in the top bunk but I can’t find it. It’s painted like a nighttime sky.

The lights were different! The lights and tv in the room only worked if there was a stateroom key (or other card with magnetic strip) in them. I'm sure that saves a lot of energy.

There’s also new wave phones, they're on the Magic and Wonder now too, and they are awesome. No more leaving each other notes as to where we are! We just call or text each other! There are two in each room and you can rent more from guest services. The two in your room are free, but you'll pay a huge fine if you lose them! I’ve got pictures of them later in the report.

There’s been a lot of speculation on where the Magic will settle after the Fantasy starts sailing. Everyone is expecting it to go back to Europe at least for part of the year. This lamp seems to confirm that. Notice the two big ships in Florida, a small one off the coast of California and a small one in Europe?

DisneyDream195_filtered.jpg

The bathrooms felt a little bigger, but very similar to the Wonder and Magic. No more vacuum cleaner hose hair dryer! Its a regular plug in dryer. There are also two clothes lines above the tub as opposed to just one. Very handy!

Next up, the kids clubs!!

We ran up to see the kids club next. Disney outdid themselves here. I can’t see children ever wanting to leave.

First the Oceaneer Club. It’s intended for kids age 3-10.

When you walk in all of the kids clubs, you are immediately directed to a hand washer. These were super cool. You just insert hands, hold in there until the timer goes off, and voila! Clean hands!

The AquaDuck goes through the stack and you can see tubes go flying by the portholes every so often.

Finally the teen club Vibe. This was awesome. You will never see your teenager on your cruise:

Here’s the hallway:

DisneyDream345.jpg

DisneyDream346.jpg

The main room had a giant screen where they played Kinect.

All along the edge were little pods to play xbox:
