The lighting in this shot is gorgeous.

This is a small gripe, but these lamps are too tall, they’re parking lot scale instead of pedestrian path scale, they’re 1-2´ taller than the original lamps around the world showcaseFlorida Fresh Outdoor Kitchen moves into new festival area at EPCOT

In some years, I've noticed Sorcerer Mickey and the brooms in front of the HS entrance during the F&G festival. Yes, he's not in Epcot but they used the opportunity to put him in front of HS anyway.Fantasia was a favorite for numerous years. Seems like a major downgrade from last year. One full topiary instead of the whole madrigal family?Characters from 'Wish' headline the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival in new main entrance display

Yes. New topiaries take a considerable amount of time to build and grow. Not to mention the cost. Was this approved months ago when they thought Wish would be a success?

I think it's still a nice display but it should have been placed elsewhere in the park. Also, agreed about how watered down F&G has become (never cared for F&W). I was looking through my box full of parks memorabilia and was shocked to see how much we've lost from the festivals in just the last decade.its politics at play, regardless of the movie being a flop. They had to shoe horn her in, notice they left out all the other characters. and sorry but the barely noticeable goat doesn't count. These festivals are shells of their former selves.
This is true, but what I was told some time ago during a tour of the Nursery was that it takes a while to construct the frame and then get the plants grown in right so they are lush and consistent. It's far more efficient than growing a traditional topiary (which is 100% organic material), but it still takes longer than the average guest might think. These are fairly rapid to develop compared to true topiaries. More people may walk by and see the Wish topiary than actually went to go see the movie. They really did think Wish was going to be a box office hit. Just seems pathetic at this point...probably should've just tossed those topiaries in the trash.
