Wow this city went nuts last night! It felt so good to see them celebrating on the field. As far as I know the city was classy about it too and no major incidents happened.

Good luck to the Rays and Sox tonight! Can't wait to see who they play!

Oh and as far as Manny, it was getting nauseating. I couldn't stand it anymore. Here the Phillies were on the brink of clinching and and still all those jerks on Fox could talk about was Manny. Here is a great little blurb I found on ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=keown/081014

I'm still giddy about no Manny in the series :D

The past 2 Red Sox world series wins they came back from behind... so if it happens, it wouldn't be a surprise. It'd be nice, but it wouldn't be a surprise

But still, I'm a life long Red Sox fan. If they lose tonight, I won't lose any sleep. I grew up saying "there's always next year."

I don't have a favorite baseball team, so I don't really care who wins. I am just happy that Joe Buck will be calling the World Series :) I am a big fan of Joe Buck and I am also a big fan of Jack Buck.

RED SOX NEEDED A MIRACLE AND GOT ONE!

Down 7-0 with 12 outs left...and come back to win 8-7!

I knew this would end up being a great series!

I watched a little bit of game 5 between the Red Sox and the Rays on tv, but for the most part I had the game on the radio. I was on the computer a lot, so I just had the radio with me. They said on the radio that this was the second biggest comeback in post season baseball history.

This was my night.

1st inning: Expletives were spouted at a machine who's job is to just show me a video image.
2nd inning: More of the same.
3rd inning: The phrase, "Way to show up and fight for your season guys!" came out of my mouth.
4th inning: Turned on "The Office" and switched back and forth through commercial breaks. (All the while, being on a rollercoaster of emotions because I got P.O.'d at the game...and then would be laughing at the show.)
5th inning: Oy vey.
6th inning: Tina goes to bed...and I decided to watch one last inning (considering it was the last game of the season).
Top of 7th inning: Papelbon comes in...and I scratch my head...but at least I'd get to see him pitch one more time before April.
Middle of 7th inning: I take the dogs out to do their business...and put them in their crates for the night.
Bottom of 7th inning: I walk into the living room to shut the TV off and call it a night...Chip Caray says, "The champagne is on ice waiting in the Tampa Bay locker room." I think to myself...that's NEVER good to say. But, they're up 7 runs...it's inevitable. I reach for the remote...just as I'm about to push "POWER" Pedy drives in a run. WOOHOO! No SHUTOUT! (I was actually so happy they didn't get shut out.) Then...BAM...PAPI woke up! 7-4 now. 8th inning: How could one go to bed... 7-6 because of Drew. Coco drives in Kotsay to tie it!!! :sohappy: (That's when I posted to Scott above).
9th inning: Masterson is in trouble...1 out...a guy on first...and Pena...the man who NEVER hits into a double play but has killed the Red Sox this series is at the plate. DOUBLE PLAY!
I knew...that Double Play was this year's "Dave Roberts' stolen base."
Let's walk Jason Bay...DREW AGAIN!

People have a right to do what they wish. So if people don't want to stay for the whole game, that is fine with me. I figure as long as I have my right to stay for the whole game, they can have their right to not stay for the whole game.

I have been thinking about this. I know that a lot of people don't stay for the whole baseball game or football game if their team is getting beat. Now as for me I would stay for the whole game no matter what. If I am paying money to go to a game, that means I stay for the whole game no matter what happens. I don't have a favorite baseball team, but if I did and if my team was getting beat 30 to 2 little me would still stay for the whole game.

I am also someone who will stay and watch all the movie credits when I go to the movies. When I go to the movies, not only do I watch all the credits, but I will wait for the rating to come up (it seems like the rating usually comes up right after the credits) and everything else, before I even think about getting up.

I know... what I am saying is... after that game last night... if I got up and left early... I would be kicking myself for the next few days at least. :)

I'm going to the Patriots game on Monday night. I, most likely, won't stay for the entire game. By the time the game gets over, I fight the traffic leaving the parking lot...and get home, I might as well just stay up and get ready for work. I'll probably leave at the end of the 3rd, and listen to the rest on the ride home. Gino Cap and Gil Santos are great game callers.
