I was going through my Disney book collection and thought it was interesting since things have changed so much since 1986.

Thought it may be fun to have some trivia and see who can answer....

In the year 1986.....

-Who was Walt Disney World President?
- How much was a one day pass?
- Who was the official airline of WDW?
-What was the official bank of WDW?
-How much was one night at the Contemporary in the Garden Wing? In the Tower?
-Price of a one year Annual Pass?
-What was admission for one day to River Country?
What were the names of the 6 Hotels at WDW Village Hotel Plaza?
-One day parking cost at Magic Kingdom?
-Where were the following extinct shops located?
a- Bath Parlor
b-Sir Edwards Haberdasher
c-Port of Entry
d-Pottery Challet
- What country in World Showcase was almost ready to open for 1987?

that should be it for now....
Anyone else have any trivia?

Oddly enough I have a brochure from the Dutch Inn. My Dad knew the GM so we used to stay there all the time.

Fun facts, especially interesting to know since that was the year I was born! :D

The year you were born...HA - I can one up you on that one!

That was the year I went to Grad Nite (as it was spelled then). I still have my ticket...May 3, 1986. 11 P.M. to 5 A.M. $16.95!!!!!

The ticket is one that says "Walt Disney World Co. collects a $2.00 transportation charge for this ticket as agant for WED Transportation Systems, Inc."

It also has a dress code for Grad Nite:
Gentlemen - Approved attire: Dress shirts with necktie or bow tie; dress trousers, dress shoes and socks required. Suit coat or jacket is optional. PROHIBITED: Jeans, turtleneck sweaters, tank tops; sandals, tennis shoes or topsiders.
Ladies - Approved attire: Party Dresses - length optional; coordinated pantsuits, high or low heels, boots, dress sandals. PROHIBITED: Jeans, halter tops, shorts, flat sandals including thongs.

Now that I think of it, 1986 was a LONG time ago!!
