= Neat!

Oh, good call! Perhaps something like a boat serving as the pendulum for the clockwork inside. Maybe even the whole flip side of the facade could be this lovely clock work, with international flags or dolls moving in conjunction with the mechanisms.
How 'bout instead of a pirate ship ride and the clock from Evil Dead (neither of which is super child-friendly), we instead use Zamperla's Crazy Bus ride system as the clockwork pendulum?

I was reeeeaaalllllyyy hoping someone would recognize the clock lol

And I didn't mean for it to actually look like the pirate ship, just that ride system lol. But the Crazy Bus I have some very fond childhood memories of and would definitely be down for that too!

Anyone have any ideas for how to handle the “it’s a small world” E-ticket?

Days ago I proposed a trackless “water ride” using the Aquatopia approach but as a dark ride:

As for the IASW ride itself...

Whatever concept we go with, the ride remains somewhat the same. We’ll want to “plus” the original ride without losing its core message. Improve the ride system! Since we used the Shanghai Pirates boats in Fantasyland, how about...Trackless Aquatopia boats in an enclosed dark ride setting. Trackless gives us the ability to synch the whole ride to a single amazing composition of the IASW song. Trackless dancing in unity as a climax I think fits the IASW tone very nicely.

Or we can always do the classic flume system approach. If we do that, our Craftwork visual style will be what makes this IASW unique.

I say keep it classic. IASW is not the kind of ride that needs to go trackless.

I had an idea for IASW to have two different tracks. One is the typical boat ride and the other is a Peter Pan’s flight type system where there’s a separate experience. Almost like it’s a two story attraction. I had the idea based off some lyrics from the song:

Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide

One aspect is the oceans and the other is based on mountains.
The boat riders can look up and see the sky riders and vice versa.

Maybe we can also include some animal-shaped topiaries like at Disneyland's version.
I had plans for a walkthrough of animal topiaries called the “Garden of Unity”! Along the way, there would be dancing fountains and topiaries of creatures from around the world.
If @PerGron is up for it I think this would be a great spot for some Utopian Futre/Green Tomorrowland concepts to be integrated too. Have displays and sections of sustainable farming and bee gardens and stuff like that! But I understand if we want to save that for Tomorrowland or want to keep this more whimsical and less realistic.

What do people think might be good for walkthroughs? One thought I had was perhaps a gallery with art related to different stories from around the world, giving guests a chance to learn a little about some of the different pieces of folklore or fairy tales that come from around the globe.

I agree keeping the ride classic is best. Unless we're going for something different just for the sake of being different, Small World lends itself to being a bit "Retro"

Though I am intrigued by Nigel's dual ride idea. Not fully sold, but definitely intrigued. We never did do a suspended dark ride in Fantasyland (unless I missed it) and this could add some great kinetics. The same way Casey Jr and Storybookland Canal Boats interact and improve each other while still being distinct ride.
