I can do either flat ride! This has been a productive day of honing in on a concept and fleshing out our content! Now for deliverables. Who wants to do what? (In parenthesis I’m making assumptions about certain players)
General Land Description & Thematic Mission Statement (@Pi on my Cake)
Outdoor Area Description
Indoor Area Description
It’s a Small World E-ticket (@NigelChanning09 & someone else?)
Tower of the Four Winds Flat Ride
Facade Clockwork Flat Ride
Garden of Unity (@NigelChanning09)
Gallery Walkthrough (@DashHaber)
Live Singalong (@PerGron)
Dining (@Outbound)
Retail
Also, for a concept like Small World the visual style really goes a long way. As many of us should attempt some artwork, regardless of skill level or medium. Especially for a smaller world like this, that’ll really sell it!

Since B & @NateD1226 are teaming up, how would you like to tackle the indoor and outdoor descriptions as a team?> Put Unit with Nate
I can do either flat ride!
Done! Do either of you have flat ride preference? Or would you like to work on both as a duo?Everything seems to be taken already... can I do a flat ride?
I think I'd like to do the Tower of the Four Winds one, if that's okay.Done! Do either of you have flat ride preference? Or would you like to work on both as a duo?
That's great!Since B & @NateD1226 are teaming up, how would you like to tackle the indoor and outdoor descriptions as a team?
No need at all to apologize for your absence. Perfectly understandable. If anyone wants another person to help with their section, I’m more than happy to help. I want to make up for my absence in brainstorming.
I haven’t drawn in months so I’m not sure they would be good, but i’ll give it a shot lmao. And yes, I’ll add to the site later. No need at all to apologize for your absence. Perfectly understandable.
Would you feel up to doing some artwork? If we get multiple artists, we can do the exterior facade, the interior space, both flat rides, and maybe even an on-ride image!
And of course there’s always the webpage. That’s something you’re good at, Nate.
Hey props to you for having the courage to post the idea. It might not be the direction of choice, but your teamwork is notedWow, ok, that had a LOT more pushback than I thought.
I will say though, I still feel like keeping the standard IASW format with a couple touch-ups is a waste of an opportunity. I would dare to say the current brainstorming I'm hearing is close to copying the original, since the real-life ride is basically all about a closer-connected world/unity. Having a conflict/resolution would be a more powerful, more resonant message on unity or whatever we are trying to communicate rather than having it shoved in your face 100% of the time.
Also, the concept art wasn't what I had in mind, I was just trying to visually communicate my idea (I suck at drawing) and that was the only thing I could think of to get there.
That's my two cents. I don't want to sound salty, and I'll 100% jump on rehashing the original ride with touch-ups if that's the final consensus, but I just think having a bit more "flavor" could really improve the experience here.
Absolutely between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland; the theme of utopian global unity fits perfectly there. Let’s hear your transition idea!General question for everybody: Is this sub-land going to be in between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland? I have an idea that would make it a good transition between the two if it's going there.
We’re going to move forward with the dual track system. The riders in the boats will pass through scenes reflecting the real life culture of the individual countries to give it a world showcase vibe. The riders flying above will pass by scenes of the legends and folktales from the countries like Magic Carpets, the Loch Ness Monster, and different mythology. Finally, the different tracks would intersect at the end of the attraction.Absolutely between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland; the theme of utopian global unity fits perfectly there. That could work! Here are some other potential names, off the top of my headWhat should we call this land? All I can think of is "Small World Square", and I feel like that's a bit too on-the-nose...
Maybe just call it “The Small World”?That could work! Here are some other potential names, off the top of my head
But the more I think about it, the more I realize there's only one name that really fits imo... It's a Small World. Might be confusing with an attraction of the same name, but it's the only one I can think of that ties everything together.
- World of Laughter
- World of Cheer
- Children's Plaza
- Cheerland
- One World Plaza (or Square)
- Papercraft Square
- Four Winds Square (or Plaza)
Maybe just call it “The Small World”?
