Alright, if we're doing crafted, I guess it's time to start brainstorming ideas.
Even though I’m on Team Chicago (go Bears!), the Craft Land attraction lineup is easier to fill if we follow the template of child-friendly lands like DisneySea’s Mermaid Lagoon. Here’s a super rough draft:
  • ”it’s a small world” E-ticket
  • Folk song singalong live show
  • Balloon spinner around Tower of the Four Winds
  • Caterpillar/Himalaya spinner around the Small World fountain (pictured below)
  • A flat ride connected to the SW clock face?
  • “Garden of Unity” topiary walkthrough (credit @NigelChanning09)
  • Children’s playground, theme TBD
  • A meet and greet maybe?

Some of these are great ideas, but I feel like it may even be a bit much. How big do we want to make this land? Even though I don't think Seasons of Fantasy was too too crazy, I don't think this land would fit as being super big anyway.

As for what attractions we could see in an 1893 Chicago World’s Fair? I’d say that between established attractions at the original fair, and new adaptations of Disney’s 1964 rides, we have plenty to work with.
  • “it’s a small world” E-ticket
  • Ferris wheel
  • New version of Carousel of Progr-

Never mind, tie suddenly broken, Kraftwerk wins!

Alright, well the people have spoken, so instead of arguing over it, we should get to finding a way to make everyone happy. Believe me, after Adventure Atoll, we don't want another round where the team is in disagreement. Crafts wasn't my ideal concept, but I definitely think it'll work and we can totally make it fit our park's mission statement.

We kind of already have a bit of a mission statement that we haven't even realized, but our lands are kind of broken down into the types of conflict. Maybe a bit of a stretch, but hear me out.

Harbourtown/Port Voyage- Man vs Fate- Tackles concepts of death and the foundation of a new country, all things I'd consider "fate."

Adventure Atoll- Man vs Nature- Our whole story is totally about nature fighting back, and that's something that fits beautifully into this.

Seasons of Fantasy- Man vs Nature (Again)- The seasons and working alongside them also fits Man v Nature.

So if we work with this theme a bit, I think a craft small world land using the concept of Man vs Man or Man vs Society, but turning that on its head and making it about unity instead of competition could fit this sort of theme we kind of have going.

I'm not sure if I fully see the Man vs Nature for Seasons of Fantasy. But I get what you're going for and I like it.

Man vs Society. Reject the "Adult" notion that society just accepts that there will always be negativity and conflict. Fight against that with aggressive optimism and coming together with the "childlike" ideas and dreams.

Perhaps we could even bake a little Olympic Games style Man vs Man here. The story could be a World Festival with a craft competition. A friendly game that explains everyone coming together from around the world and why we are surrounded by giant crafts. That could also give us reasons to do some tweaked World's Fair stuff.

I could also see the Gardens of Unity @NigelChanning09 suggested including some of the Green Utopia ideas you were proposing earlier. Discus sustainable farming, bee friendly gardens, and other ways we could build a better world.

I agree with @D Hindley that this DisneySEA's Mermaid Lagoon is a good template in many ways. Especially since our park as a whole takes so much inspiration from DisneySEA.

I think some "experience" based attractions like the gardens are smart. Maybe a small scale version of the Kidcot masks. Perhaps as paper boats or something like that to tie into the water based visual tie our park has.

Very nice thought. That feels like a solid set-up for our crafted take on a Small World land.

I feel like this is a land where we shouldn't go heavy on rides. Obviously we've got "it's a small world" and chances for some flat rides or spinners based around things like the Tower of the Four Winds or the clock tower facade, but I can see really basing this land more around "experiences", like walkthroughs or colorful landscapes.

I agree with the groundwork being laid by @Pi on my Cake & @NigelChanning09 & @DashHaber, et al. Kinetic. Water. Experience-based, low on rides. Pi’s statements-of-purpose above could, with very little editing, be our final land intro.

Following Mermaid Lagoon’s lead, I like having a large part of the land indoors - we can control the lighting, really achieve the Craft design style, and keep this child-friendly area from clashing with anything else in the park. Churned out a rough draft layout, I did (keeping a pool in front of the facade as a nod to the 1893WF):

I love the pool idea! Can add in the dancing fountains from in front of the Imagination pavilion to put motion in there while also being playful!

Having this land largely indoors would definitely offer some fun possibilities. Perhaps the exterior facade of the land could be inspired by IASW's classic facade, serving as a familiar face for guests before they walk in and find themselves in this arts and craft world celebrating unity.

Ooh, what if we did something similar to the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot. Have it have some minor stuff outside, but the bulk is indoors set in a "unity plaza" or whatever. I think if we even wanted to set it at night, that'd be a lot of fun.

It could be a celebration of the world coming together with projections of fireworks and whatnot all around the building. Plus, a nighttime atmosphere would be a unique addition to the park.

To add on to the idea of having a lot of it set at night, I think we could play with the decorations and even IASW itself and the colors and Mary Blair artwork and really make it pop more than they do when it’s outside
Yes!

Heck, if it is indoors at "night" the whole room could come to live with projections if we wanted. Or at least a show that surrounds guests once an hour if not ongoing.

Might I suggest some large pinwheels across the land that act as fans on a hot day?
