No this season isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. There have been plenty of HUGE talents on the show this year. Big Mike, Lee, Crystal, and SIOBHAN!! And you cannot say the ratings have tanked when they still have 20 million people watching the show each night.
Siobhan was so mediocre/annoying it was ridiculous. She couldn't sing well at all and she relied on her "Glory note" (Scream of death) to push her as far as she went. The last time I actually remember her having a decent performance was probably Pre-Top 12.

She is one of the BEST that show has ever had. Each week she got better and better. Her voice gave me chills every time I heard it!

HA! It's not just Idol's ratings that have dropped, EVERYTHING on Tv has dropped. Even with it's slightly lower ratings, Idol is still #1 by a looooong shot. It is truly the best and most entertaining show on television, and wont be going anywhere anytime soon.
Maybe, but the DHS version will be gone in the not too distant future. It was a quick fix for a park crying out for capacity and failed miserably compared to the suits forcasts. They have to try to rekindle interest with PR like this.

The show will go sooner rather than later. Before it becomes another relic like the tour.

That makes me sad . Haha...for an Idol fan as big as me, the AI Experience is one of the highlights of my day at DHS!

I still do not see that as "low". 17 million seems to be a pretty large number to me. Idol is still one of the most watched and talked about shows on television. I wish that people would stop trying to discredit the show simply b/c they don't enjoy it.

I actually love American Idol and have watched every season (and have won the wdwmagic guessing game the last two years, and now have a chance to come from behind and win it for a third year in a row:lookaroun).

You can't just look at the number of viewers for a particular episode...you have to look at the number of viewers the show usually has on average, and this season it keeps getting lower and lower.

Stop trying to argue with facts! AI ratings have dropped and it is fact...not an opinion!!

If you think it's so terrible, then don't do it! There are plenty of others who really enjoy it! It's one of my favorite attractions at Disney!

I mean, there are several attractions that I think are crap (CoP, SGE, KS...), so I just skip those while I'm at Disney. I don't go around calling them terrible, because I realize that there are others who love those attractions.

Okay, seriously....I am starting to think you MUST be trying to be sarcastic. I promise I am not trying to be rude....it is just so hard sometimes to tell if someone is being serious or joking online! Are you really serious?:veryconfu

I wasn't referring to you in particular! I was just talking about people as a whole! I realize that the show's ratings have dropped as a whole, but even so, they are still one of the top shows on television!

I wonder about that. Millionaire ran for years after the show was out of prime time.

I don't do it and the attraction has been an overwhelming failure by the way.

There was obviously some sort of contractual reason why Disney couldn't talk about Aaron while he was on the show. I'm sure they'll still find a way to promote him with AIE. Since he finished in the top 5, he does tape some segments that show outside the theatre.

I'm wondering if now he's been voted off, Disney would be free to sign him to a recording contract. He seems to be a good fit with its other teen performers, and Disney could take advantage of the whole AIE tie-in.

Why do you feel the need to go out of your way to bash things that others really do enjoy? If you don't like it, don't say anything.

Not trying to be rude, but I have made it clear that I enjoy Idol, and you keep saying everything you can to rip it.

I'm not 100% sure, but i dont think AI contestants are allowed to sign any record deals until the summer tour is over.
