That would be Congress Park. We stayed there for a week at Christmas and had a great view of the lake and DD - wonderful at night! Easy walk, too!

I have also stayed on and off site, and in all the levels of resorts while on site. I personally prefer staying on site for the convenience. I also prefer staying in a deluxe 2 or 3 bedroom villa. My children, however, FAR prefer the value resorts! They think they are more "Disney", more...

We are going Dec 18-25 and booked 7 months out. While we qualify fr a 3 bedroom luxury, there were only 1 bedroom villas available at the time if booking. We went on a wait list and a 2 BR opened up at SSR. We are still waitlisted for a 2 or 3 BR in any other resort but with three days to go...

I do NOT like the cold weather while at WDW, even during the holidays. We are just 9 day away from our next trip and the weather has been cold, rainy, windy, warm, cold again...crazy. Keep in mind that as S Florida residents, we don't even OWN gloves, hats, scarves, boots or puffy coats...

We will be there on the same dates! You might expect it to be a tad bit crowded, since Monday the 17th is MLK Holiday and some Florida counties have the 18th off as a teacher in-service day. We are taking advantage of the long weekend by going to Disney World!

Ditto! Absolutely agree! Ive stayed in the family suites and unless that third adult will be happy sharing a fold out couch with someone, you will be on top if each other. I would suggest two connecting rooms with four beds!

Family suites are okay but not that big. One bed in the bedroom, a pull out sofabed in the living room and a chair that converts to a sleeper (which is only suitable for a child, really). Kitchenette has a mini fridge and microwave. Having had one for my family of four, I would say you will...

We are Florida residents and are going to be there the week of Christmas, too. My one piece of advice is to make your ADRs NOW! Restaurants are filling up fast! Have a great time!
