SSR Room Locations

We will be staying at SSR soon, and was wondering which rooms are within the closest walking distance to Downtown Disney? Thanks

That would be Congress Park. We stayed there for a week at Christmas and had a great view of the lake and DD - wonderful at night! Easy walk, too!

Saratoga Springs and Downtown Disney are both pretty huge and come close to touching on each side of the lake. Congress Park is the closest section to any piece of Downtown Disney, on the Marketplace side. The West Side of DTD (and what used to be Pleasure Island and will by Hyperion Wharf has a walkway that will take you close to The Springs and The Grandstand, though Congress Park/Marketplace is a shorter distance. Question is, do you just want to be close to DTD? Or a certain section?

What they said! We've stayed in Congress Park a few times and loved it. The walk is less than 5 minutes (to the Marketplace). It's the next to last bus stop too, so whenever we wanted to head to the main "house", spa, restaurants, feature pool, etc. and didn't want to walk, we'd grab the first bus at the stop and get off at the last stop by the main house. SSR gets a bad rap on the boards sometimes, but we really like it. Have fun!
