News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

That is literally how the world showcase is made. There are expansion pads behind the countries. There also were supposed to be more countries as well. Here is an article about it. They even have the show buildings built in Japan and Germany already but never used them...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

That is the "worst" idea you ever heard? Each pavilion at EPCOT was made to house restaurant, a theater and a boat ride to showcase a river in the country. There is expansion room for a boat ride. Bayous are flat, they do not have drops like Splash. Bayous are American and not part of the west...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

That's true but I'd rather Coco go in Mexico and Tiana go into America at EPCOT. I think they really missed the mark with Tiana especially. Each pavilion was set up for a show and a boatride. What is more American than the bayou, jazz and a boat ride through that! Plus it reinforces the...

Where is your Disney secret spot?

I've done that before and was treated to the 'Singing Boat Captain' belting out "Brandy". :)

What attraction do you wish was still around that you could experience with your children/SO?

I did, I fixed it because that is a tragic mistake. Both my post and that ride.

What is the most over-rated and under-rated restaurants in WDW?

I'm a bit shocked at the O'hana hate. One of our favorites.

Where is your Disney secret spot?

Like the title says what is your Disney secret spot? Somewhere unique, off the beaten path, quiet, great view, hidden bathroom etc.? For me, I like Tom Sawyer Island behind the fort. Usually all alone there and can just chill out in peace and relax. Another is upstairs at Columbia Harbour...

What is the most over-rated and under-rated restaurants in WDW?

Which restaurants in WDW are the most over-rated and under-rated? For me the most over would be Sci-Fi, the environment is fun and very very unique, but the food mediocre (and I'm very liberal with food) and I just didn't like the seating in the car. Again it was very unique and cool but I was...

    strollers, strollers, strollers

It's probably a bit less now that we're mid-40s but, man when we were younger we just hauled in those parks. We used to be so proud of ourselves and called it Commando Disney. Yeah our trackers had us at 16-21 miles. After every meal at EPCOT we'd walk to HS or vice versa or if we were at a...

    most underrated ride?

It's a Small World is always the butt of jokes but it's a classic...it's THE classic. Not only was it Walt's first attraction, it is awash in Mary Blair's art and color and the Sherman Brothers' music and is absolutely quintessential Disney. If you want to show anyone what Disney is as an art...

What attraction do you wish was still around that you could experience with your children/SO?

Journey Into Imagination, and not just the ride but the whole pavilion. 20,000 Leagues also. Two high quality rides that were different...not just screens or mild coasters.

    strollers, strollers, strollers

We used a stroller until our DD was about 8. The last few years it was odd; however, we average roughly 20 miles a day in the parks. Although we had her walk a lot, 20 miles is a lot for little legs-especially over a 10 day period. Too many times people see it as laziness on the parent's part...

    Jungle Cruise Re-Imagining

Also, it isn't a stereotype, there were literally headhunter tribes. The people complaining about this are trying to pigeonhole every minority into the category they see fit and safe and non-offensive. There were headhunters in jungles, especially at the turn of last century.
