Rides that Won't Be Around in 50 Years

I think a more interesting list would be 10 or 20 years - not 50. They'll probably all be different with holograms and cold fusion or something.

    Worst meal on Disney property?

Sure. I don't know if it's listed as an appetizer in the sit-down (cafe) or not. But it's filling enough to be an entree IMHO. It comes with ranch, a barbeque sauce and salsa drizzled (separately) on top. Good stuff.

    Worst meal on Disney property?

Did you go to the cafe? Instead of going to the Cafe, turn left and go to Wolfgang Express - the chicken quesadilla is one of my faves. Actually the pizza and the chicken are pretty good too I think... Most people see to not like Alfredo's because of the value - very small portions.

    Best Old Epcot Attraction

World of Motion without a doubt. A very funny dark ride. Memories: The outside "spiral" upward at the beginning before you go into the ride. The traffic cop hiding behind the billboard. The old civilization's tries at making wheels (triangular and rectangular versions) The "Tron" tunnel...

    small My Pal Mickey Update

We rented one for the first time last weekend - did Epcot and Magic Kingdom (one day). They broke a new one out of plastic for us. I imagine most people who rent end up just keeping them. If you think about it, if you rent it a couple of days you've 50% bought it anyway, and are parents...

    Pressing buttons in MS

While we're at it... do the joysticks really do anything? Is it just a gimmick that has no effect on your direction? I don't see how it could possibly be an actual "input device" that affects the ride, with everybody steering in all different directions.

    Pressing buttons in MS

It would be funny if it abruptly stopped, saying something like "simulation cancelled due to pilot error" and everybody would then give dirty looks at the "pilot" as they exited the ride they waited an hour to get on:lol:

    Pressing buttons in MS

I figured it would do something like that. Thanks!

    Pressing buttons in MS

At different parts of the ride during Mission Space, different people on the ride (i.e. navigator, pilot) are asked to press blinking buttons to make things happen. I think everybody on our ride pressed the right buttons. Anybody know what happens if you don't press the required buttons? Does...

Any Chance the Indiana Jones Ride Will Be Put into a Disney World Park?

Can someone from Imagineering weigh in on this? The only way I can see the track being the same, is in the actual metallic layout of it. Obviously the look of the ride is different because of different theming, but it's a more profound difference than that. Indy consists mainly of one...

Any Chance the Indiana Jones Ride Will Be Put into a Disney World Park?

I've been on both rides, and while the vehicle is the same, and the "feel" of the ride is smilar, the tracks are nothing alike. Indy kind of has you going in and out of the same big room, revisiting previously seen territory, whereas Dinosaur is one long track through constantly new territory -...

    "New" China film

Timekeeper. Which, unfortunately, is closed most of the time now. Robin Williams is hilarious in that.

    "New" China film

True. I was wondering why they hadn't been announcing it - now I know. I should mention that it is still a good film, though.

    "New" China film

You mean the stone forest? It is cool - but it's not new - that was from the old film. There is new footage from the ice sculpture gardens however.

    "New" China film

I saw the China film this weekend and was a little disappointed that most of the film is not new. There's just a few new shots of Shanghai and Hong Kong and a couple of others. I was expecting the whole thing to be new, instead it's approx. 75% same as previous film. Was this going to be a...

What does a Soft Opening mean?

I was at the soft opening (and cast member preview) of Animal Kingdom. Also, Test Track. It's basically the same as a normal opening, just less fanfare. For all intents and purposes, it's open.

What does a Soft Opening mean?

From my experience, soft opening means it's open and available to ride, but it's before all of the marketing blitz and advertising of official opening starts. They are generally working out the last few remaining kinks while testing on general public and getting feedback. (Might be a higher...
