Need Clarification on a RUMOR about LMA

Thanks everyone for your replies. What you're all saying is exactly what I had told her as well but I wanted to make sure since I don't get down there as often as some of you.

Need Clarification on a RUMOR about LMA

Some friends of ours told me LMA was "getting ready to leave" when they went to WDW a couple of months ago. I hadn't heard anything about this and just want someone to tell me they're a little :p. We just missed the opening last year and haven't been back yet.

    December Must Do's!

Okay, I know I'll probably get slapped by the veterans for this suggestion because it's not Disney related, but if you get the chance go to Sea World and see their Shamu Christmas program. It is the last Shamu show of the evening and it is really nice. Last year it was a candlelight program with...

Possible Airport Closures - Including Orlando

Probably not Atlanta Atlanta will most likely stay open. FEMA/DHS has officially asked for assistance from fire departments from across the country (by selection only from FEMA). FEMA is requesting 1,000 2-person teams to respond. In the directive sent to all fire departments from FEMA, it...

    Another death at WDW

Woody, you are incorrect on your facts about being able to release a victim's identity. In all cases, not just minors, the new federal HIPAA Act prevents ANYONE from releasing information about a patient without their prior permission. As a paramedic I cannot even tell a family member which...

    Pop Century Question

Like crazygirly stated, PC is a wonderful resort and you can see IROE if you head to the 50's building with Tramp out front. Go around to the lake side of the building on the 3rd floor and you can see the fireworks and hear some of the music. When we stayed the week after Thanksgiving last year...

    Theme parks' emergency response questioned

A Paramedic/Firefighter Point of View Hi there folks, Let me first say that these kind of articles really get me going because of the position I'm in. Everyone calls us heroes but in cases like these no reporter knows how we really feel afterwards. We're the hero if we save 'em and the...

    November 2005.

The weekend immediately following Thanksgiving is pretty crowded but on Sunday, most people are heading home. Mon-Fri. of the following week was very nice last year. Never waited in any line longer than 15 minutes. Have fun and enjoy the Christmas themeing.

    November 2005.

If you could possibly wait until the week after Thanksgiving to go, you could enjoy the Christmas decorations and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. We went for the first time as a family at that time last year and we will never go at any other time of the year now. The crowds are light after...

Mickeys Merry Xmas Party -- anyone go to this?

We went for the first time last November and our family has decided that we couldn't imagine even going to WDW at any other time of the year now. Christmas is definitely in the air and yes, even this macho firefighter, had a tear in his eye a few times because of being overwhelmed with seeing my...

    $How do u save money?$

Here's something that hasn't been mentioned yet. If you're purchasing everything on your own and not using our friend Pam from Kingdom Konsultants, try buying items like park passes, resies, other needed items in spurts and not all at once. We bought our parkhoppers a couple at a time and it...

    Pop Century ?

Well said AEfx!! I always respect your opinion on here Woody but I too have to disagree with you on this one. POP transportation is great. While the station at the resort could be covered for those long, hot summer days, it's not vital. We never waited more than 10 minutes either at the resort...

    Pop Century Reviews?

We stayed there at the end of November and loved it. Just a suggestion, try to get the Tramp building from Lady and the Tramp with a room overlooking the lake on the top floor and you'll be able to see all the fireworks from both Disney Studios and Epcot each night. Like stated above, it's only...

MUST HAVES to buy B4 Trip....

Good, comfortable walking shoes that are pre-trip broken in. Don't wait to get there to break them in. Bandaids for blisters are a must. Autograph books with LARGE pens so the characters can hold on to them while signing. Must for the kiddos. Small backpack to hold rain ponchos, water...

    10 bucks a day for a fridge?

Or you can do what we did and bring a large cooler and fill it with free ice from the resort. Works just about the same. Saved a ton of money on drinks and breakfast.

    Disney Cruise Forum

When I needed answers for planning our past WDW vacation, you guys came through for me and helped make our trip a very enjoyable one. My question now is, does anyone know if there a forum board like this one where people who frequently take Disney cruises post comments, questions, etc.? I am...

What's the longest anyone will drive to WDW?

That's Nuthin' !!!!! We drove 20 1/2 hours straight through from Kansas City, MO the week after Thanksgiving, with 2 kids(6 and 7 years old), in a rental car, and a cigarette lighter that didn't work so they couldn't watch movies. But they were actually excellent travellers for a first major trip.

    interstate travling

Dave, Not sure how you got to Tampa without going through Orlando on I-4. My atlas shows taking 77 to 95 then south on 95 through Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Daytona Beach. Then go south on I-4 to Orlando. Since I-4 runs right next to WDW you shouldn't need to get on the turnpike at all...

    HOws disney is November?

Week after Thanksgiving is GREAT We got down to WDW on the Saturday after Thanksgiving this past year and stayed through the following Thursday. Crowds were VERY light with waits of less than 10 minutes on almost every attraction at every park. (Unless you count the hour wait at TT because of a...

Stuff sent back to the hotel?

DIMV, This service is totally free. Let me reiterate what others have posted so far: 1) Let the CM at the register know UP FRONT that you want to have something sent to your resort otherwise you'll add at least 10 minutes onto your purchasing time. (They have to re-do the whole receipt by...
