Need Clarification on a RUMOR about LMA

Some friends of ours told me LMA was "getting ready to leave" when they went to WDW a couple of months ago. I hadn't heard anything about this and just want someone to tell me they're a little :p. We just missed the opening last year and haven't been back yet.

There's no way that WDW would spend so much money on an attraction, and then have it be so popular, then pull it out of the park in less than a year. Expect LMA to be around for quite a while.

I agree, especially when the HCOE is still going on, Disney wouldn't want to close one of the highlighted attractions while the Celebration is still going on.

hehe...From the keeper of LMA!

No, it is not leaving for a long time. They have spend thousands of dollars on it (the cars alone cost $100,000 BEFORE importing), they have award-winning stunt drivers, and it's a BIG hit.

The only reason I could think of for someone thinking that is that they have drivers switching out all the time to do some of the driving for the Miami Vice movie coming out.

But that show is not leaving for a long, long time.

question for those who have seen it...

would you go back?

i saw it in september, loved it - but not too for sure if i would actually go back to see it again, depending on the heat factor and the wait for the show. just curious how everyone else felt about it?

yeah, i'd go back. The driving fascinates me and there is room for error here that other attractions don't have. While the storyline may get old, watching them drive and control the vehicles does not.

On a side note, we were there Saturday morning and the jet ski was not used. Is it still a part of the show?

Thanks everyone for your replies. What you're all saying is exactly what I had told her as well but I wanted to make sure since I don't get down there as often as some of you.

Yes, it is still a part of the show. If the water part was dirty, then it could mess up the jetski, and that's not really a good thing...

So instead what they do is just pull it from the show.

I said I probably wouldn't ever see it again after the first time I saw it, and I ended up seeing it 2 times after that.

Here's the thing... If I was only at WDW for a short period of time, I definitely wouldn't see it.
