News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

Regarding today's announcement from Iger. Could and will have different connotations. Just because someone COULD do something does not mean they actually WILL do something.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

There is speculation that it is a Belle audio animatronic with Tiana's face, which was a cost savings measure. The focus has been on the chin and cheek structure.

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

@WDW Pro has shared, via Youtube, that there are 17 audio animatronics, with 9 appearing in the ending. It seems that it will either be screen heavy or foliage dependent.

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Permanently Closed Fall 2023

Given its location and existing design, I would think this to be an easy Buzz Lightyear & Zurg hotel flip. Aside from the Toy Story building at All Star Movies, Walt Disney World does not have a dedicated Toy Story Resort.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

At some point, will D23 members, influencers, and vloggers come to the realization that D23 announcements are more social media clicks and soundbites than reality?

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Instead of adding more to Magic Kingdom, why not built out the other parks to a similar experience scale? Zootopia could easily be added to Hollywood Studios via a reimagining of the Animation Courtyard.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Things that I would find odd in Magic Kingdom, because they would be a better fit for Hollywood Studios: Another planet from the Star Wars universe that exists, but we were not aware of it A Marvel property that would be allowable under the current agreement A Blue Sky Studios property, such...

News Disney Vacation Club announces plans for more than 350 new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

A comparison of the original and recent concept art of the cabin exterior suggests that they opted for primer and passed on the top coat.

The Walt Disney Company Names Hugh Johnston As Chief Financial Officer

Not to be ageist, but Hugh F. Johnston is 62 years old. While a long career at one company is not a guarantee for any new hire, Mr. Johnston will likely be identifying and preparing his successor in the coming years.

News Chapek FIRED, Iger New CEO

A classic Disney villain laugh accompanied my seeing this photo.

EPCOT Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Two weeks ago, we had the opportunity to take the Behind the Seeds tour. If you are looking for a spark of 1982 EPCOT Center inspiration, then it can be found at Living with the Land. EPCOT scientists are presently exploring plum growth in space. The initiative can be found here: Technologies...

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

With the addition of the DVC Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort, might this be related to additional amenities, such as a feature pool, splash pad, and/or community building?

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Yes, that was our experience yesterday. Our Star Jumper cruised to September as did the Star Jumper that arrived after we unloaded. Someone, somewhere in TWDC understood the assignment and delivered some extra pixie dust yesterday.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I do wish we had gotten this: Based on the released concept art, it seems that the design fell somewhere in time between the late 1700s and late 1800s. A nice continuity, progression of time, from left to right across the shore.

News Wakanda joins Coco, Zootopia, and Encanto on Disney Parks' future blue sky expansion list, reveals Josh D'Amaro

"The growth trajectory is very compelling if we do nothing beyond what we have already committed. By dramatically increasing our investment - building big, being ambitious, maintaining quality and high standards and using our most popular I.P. - it will be turbocharged." - Bob Iger For a...

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

The lands at DHS should have been Studios: Lucasfilm, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation. You enter each studios' respective gate and are transported into the lands from the films. My armchair imagineering perspective :)

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Because Iger's end game is to sell the Walt Disney Company to Apple and it would be weird for them to sponsor one attraction when they own the whole Walt Disney World resort.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

There may be a more recent article, but I am familiar with this one from DVCNews: Aulani Sales Progress, Late-2021 Edition At the time, it was projected that Aulani would approach sellout sometime in 2029, 18 years after its opening. Roll it in and you have 6 properties in active sales...

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

Others have shared similar rumblings, but it would be very surprising to me if Disney is gearing up to begin construction on Reflections. Consider the existing properties: The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is still in active sales with an anticipated sell out of early next...

EPCOT Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

I would like to remain hopeful. Journey of Water nicely captures the edutainment principle upon which EPCOT was founded. It is refreshingly surprising to me that an experience dedicated to presenting the water cycle was created with subtle nods to a popular IP. Also, if Test Track will be...
