We stayed on the Concierge once, non waterview (there were only 2 types then...). We didn't find it to be worth the money. We always spring for water view, for us it's money better spent. We almost always have a view of Illuminations from our room.

I just checked and they are NOT differentiating between pool & water rooms, at least not right now. They do price different club rooms based on views. So you will have to request a lagoon and full balcony.

We love the YC. 2 kids, 8 and almost 4, we've been staying there the last 7 years. It's very kid friendly and comfortable. We had a re-done room in December and it was beautiful. BC is more Florida-style, YC is more New England -style. Either way the location is the best!

We always ask for a room on a higher floor, it's a little quieter. Also, if you booked a water view, request a room over looking Cresecent Lake? or whatever the lagoon/body of water is. Rooms overlooking the pool can be loud and the lagoon views are great! Enjoy, we love the YC!
