    Magical Express....One Way...?

I know you can use the one-way option since we are doing exactly that in October. We are using Tiffany Towncar service to pick us up at the airport and the Magic Express to go back. No problem... Holly

    Can Anyone believe this?!

Do the photographers have radios? Could he have called someone? How far was he from the ticket booth/store/baby center? Seems like (employment w/ WDW or Kodak aside) his responsibility as a PERSON IN A VISIBLE POSITION OF AUTHORITY (actual or impled by his uniform) was to make the intelligent...

Do Collect anything wierd from the Parks?

Mickey soaps... for my "Disney" themed bathroom at home. My kids have also been known to pick up "parade debris"... confetti, etc. I have stuck a few pieces in the photo album. Also the usual maps, room keys, napkins, coasters & drink stirrers, etc. Holly:kiss:

What are your favorite things to do at Epcot's World Showcase?

Irn-Bru... made in Scotland from girders! Love the stuff! I have some in the fridge right now... and some HP as well! You are right... the food at UK Pavillion (Rose & Crown in particular) is great! I like making a late dinner reservation there and watching fireworks from the patio... a...

Question about Disney's Magical Express compared to Mears

I personally preferred Tiffany Towncar service to the Mears shuttle... they pick you up in a private car, take you to a grocery store if you want (great to pick up water, breakfast stuff, fruit and anything else that would be tough to pack) and they were the same price or less than Mears. (This...

    Cup of Tea?

I generally travel with my own tea bags in my purse... but I wonder if Rose and Crown would have good tea... they are English, after all! :) Holly

    Disneyland or WDW for 50th?

We would go to DL because we would go to WDW this year anyway... 50th or no 50th. If we had the means we would go to DL just for the July 17th Celebration. I'll bet it will be spectacular! I've heard the fireworks alone are going to be amazing. Maybe I won the lottery last night... better check...

    tween dinning

Just remember that when you are using the new dining plan, and your child is 10 or over, the park ticket is priced as an adult so the dining plan is also priced as an adult ($35 per day)... (I am running into the same problem myself).

    so, which smell/sound

I'll be hearing that sound in just 9 days... here in Michigan! They are playing the Alma Highland Festival ceilidh Memorial Day weekend. It's wierd... seeing/hearing them at EPCOT makes me feel at home as I usually have celtic musc playing. Seeing/hearing them HERE will make me long for...

    Most Memorable Moment

The first time we took the kids to Disney, our daughter, Maggie was 5. She was a huge Snow White fan and although we looked for her every day, we never seemd to find her in the parks. On our next to last day, we were planning one final day in the MK and Maggie decided to wear her Snow White...

    Backpacks?

Last time we used a "rolling" backpack... and put EVERYTHING in it. We had snacks & water (bottled is a must since the drinking fountain water is terrible), autograph books/pens, wet wipes, rain gear, pennies & quarters for the machines, and our cameras (still & video). It would have been...

New Dining Plan - age dilemma

It actually seemed like a pretty good deal UNTIL I realized that my daughter was going to be treated like an adult... the actual point of this post wasn't "what am I going to do?", it was more about pointing out an inequity in the new dining plan. In a perfect world, when I booked, I would be...

New Dining Plan - age dilemma

OK, so I was getting ready to (finally) book our trip for Oct./Nov. Our daughter turned 10 in March... so (although she is petite - just now wearing size 7/8) I planned on buying her an adult park pass (as required for her age). I am generally not an advocate of telling someone she is younger...

What's your longest road trip to get to WDW?

You are lucky... the drive from NY to Florida is right along that "American History" corridor... right past battle grounds, historic sites, D.C., Philly, Virginia! Actually, I'd love to do JUST that as a family vacation... the MI to Florida drive is straight south on I-75 all the way. :snore...

What's your longest road trip to get to WDW?

It would be a 20+ hour drive for us from Michigan... we have never done it... and I have to ask myself (and all of you)... why would anyone drive? Crazy! The downsides I can see are: (1) you lose part of your vacation in travel time (2 days each way) (2) driving great distances is so tiring...

Disney Characters not seen in the Parks

We also saw Milo Thatch and Princess Kida (Atlantis) at DL a couple of years ago... the costumes were amazing! Holly

Disney Characters not seen in the Parks

Peter sometimes shows up at that Character breakfast at 1900 Park Faire (GF). We have seen him there twice. Holly
