    Annual Passholder

As far as I know they won't refund parking that you've already paid for.

    Annual Passholder

The TofW discount is available in most of the hotel counter service places. I think I managed to start saving money with that after about 5 days (and that was just buying food for 1). You also get discounts in various places in the marketplace (Ghiradelli's for one) with the AP. Discounts on...

    May sound stupid.... but

Mention it when arriving at table service restaurants and they'll often given you a free desert/cake/etc and sing Happy Birthday.

    Free Park Admission on Birthdays!!!

Unfortunately all my family have birthdays at times in the year when we can't go on vacation - shame :(

    AP discounts on Park Tickets???

Last time I checked DVC members get discounts on: Annual Passes Special Events (certain dates only) water parks/Disney quest not on park hoppers/ regular admission I know for DVC discounts you have to be living in the same household as the named member (they'll want to see proof of...

Tip Question for Non DDP People

They will put a "choice" of tips on your bill though. I believe they show you 15% and 20% and the option to write your own.

    Crowds in March/April 09

I went at the end of April/beginning of May this year and it was really nice. The crowds were beginning to die down because it was after Easter. Don't forget it's not just the US school vacations that determine crowd levels! The UK usually have 2 weeks to a month off at that time of year (which...

    After Chrstimas decorations???

Don't quote me on it but I think it's after New Years sometime. I know my family visited in the 1st week of Jan once and they still had everything up.

For those that have been to DL and WDW?

When I took my parents and sister we spent 3 days total there and it was more than enough to see both parks and do favorite rides several times. You also don't feel too rushed off your feet. DL rides I preferred were: Space M (rode w/RHCP and w/o) PoTC (not surprising as WDW was never meant...

    Help Needed!!!

Make sure you pick up the kids versions of the park maps at the entrance to each park. If you're on a long flight then maybe it'd be better to have some WDW related activities for the flight (assuming he knows where he's going at that point!)

    Motion Sickness

Simulators are reliant on your brain tricking your body into thinking that you are experiencing something different to what you actually are. (That's why M:S tells you to keep watching the screen and keep your eyes open, if you closed them you'd realize that you're spinning around) Unfortunately...

    Would you rather see?

Any one know what happened to the temporary pavilion they set up in WS for the millennium celebration that had loads of other countries? It would be cool if they reopened that. WoL is a hard one to decide what they should do with it. I think they almost need to have the same theme because...

Why is there no variety in the park castles?

The ones I've seen in person (DL, WDW, DLP) may have similarities but they all have some nice distinguishing features. DL did disappoint me though because it looks so small. I think if you were gonna pick one to rebuild it would be that one. The dragon is amazing at DLP and I love the themed...

Birnbaum 2009: Space Mountain closed in 2009

Apologies, I did not mean to imply there are less attractions merely that they are a lot smaller physically. The fact that there is a similar number (comparitively more) rides at DL simply means that there local annual pass is better value for money. The people I know that remembered the old SM...

Birnbaum 2009: Space Mountain closed in 2009

Don't forget either that Disneyland is only 2 parks, and 2 SMALL parks at that so even if both parks had the same number of locals going there would always seem to be more at DL. Also the local Annual pass is much cheaper over there and has less restrictions on the dates. I believe mine paid for...

Since IOA has apparently removed the dragon theme from dueling dragons,...

This was exactly what I was thinking when I saw all the construction there this summer. As for how it'll affect Disney... I know a LOT of people who will go to Florida just because of HP but the fact is that they won't just go there and if HP was your #1 place to go (horror!) then Disney would...

    Terrible Disney Stories

I've been there too. You'd think Disney would put extra buses on or something when they know these groups are all staying at the same hotel, using the buses and will all be leaving the same park at the same time. Personally, I always find it scary when the cheerleading convention hits town...

Around the world on a Segway

I did this last year and it was sooooooo much fun. I also got to see a lot of things in WS that I'd never really taken the time to look at (partly cos they're so busy during the day so you can't see then properly)

    Not going w/ mother-in-law again

Whenever I go to WDW I always think "This is the Happiest Place on Earth" unless you're with your family. This year some kid was messing around in the line to get into AK so his mum (with 2 other children and grandmother in tow) turned the whole party around and they went back to the hotel...

    MK Tour?

Keys to the Kingdom tour was awesome when I went on it. IN case your worried about hearing the tour guide they give you an earpiece. just remember that there are certain types of questions that they'll only answer "backstage" in case someone overhears and it spoils the magic for them.
