Ok, so being the responsible independent adult that i am, i am going to ask my mom to buy me my park tickets for Nov 11-14th. She is an AP holder and a DVC member (and a Florida resident). Is it possible for her to get a discount on buying these tickets even if they are not for her? Is it even possible for her to purchase these tickets for me?

If it helps...i would like a 4 day park hopper

AP holders do not get discounts on regular park tickets. The only thing would be for DisneyQuest and the water parks, AP holders get $3-$4 off per ticket for up to 4 people.

Florida Residents get discounts, but you would have to produce a Florida ID of your own to get yours. (If you're not there at time of purchase to show ID, she'd only get a voucher, and when you activate the voucher they'd ask for a FL ID)

I don't know what discount options are available for DVC members. You may need to live in the same household as your mother in order to qualify for those discounts.

Your best bet might be to look into discount tickets from the authorized ticket resellers like Undercover Tourist, Maple Leaf and TicketMania.

She would be buying them upon check-in at Boardwalk, and were all staying in the same room. Does that change anything?

You'd still need a florida resident id for each ticket. Your name would be printed on the back. So, if you don't have a Florida ID, she can't really buy them for you.

Last time I checked DVC members get discounts on:
Annual Passes
Special Events (certain dates only)
water parks/Disney quest
not on park hoppers/ regular admission

I know for DVC discounts you have to be living in the same household as the named member (they'll want to see proof of address for the member AND the person that wants the discounted ticket)

I believe yet another sticking point is that the resorts can't sell Florida Resident tickets. The purchase would have to be done at a theme park (or Downtown Disney Guest Relations), and they would ask for Florida ID for each ticket.
