Crowds in March/April 09

Just wondering what the school holidays dates are for march april and also what the crowds are like. I am coming "home" then and dont want it to be busy in the parks and i am bringing my mum also

how about... April 3-4-5, im thinking of this weekend, thinking a week BEFORE Easter should be lighter, any ideas?

I went at the end of April/beginning of May this year and it was really nice. The crowds were beginning to die down because it was after Easter. Don't forget it's not just the US school vacations that determine crowd levels! The UK usually have 2 weeks to a month off at that time of year (which will usually include Easter but can be the 2 weeks before or after depending on where Easter lies). I know at the end of April there seemed to be an unusually large number of French people there so I'd guess it was their vacation time then.
