I'm at the Boardwalk now and I love it! Have stayed at Yacht and Beach as well (in both hotels) and I think Yacht is great for older families and couples and the Beach Club is for young family oriented. I am on the 3rd floor on the right of the elevators and my room is renovated so that was also...

I know! I was rude right back to her. I may sound spoiled but I have to say I always find flaws in the cast members at every resort but the Grand Floridian...maybe Disney sends the best of the best there? I don't know, I always feel like the GF cast members are just a step above the rest...even...

So I called today to request a renovated room when I check in on Tuesday but the woman said there is no such renovation going on and she refused to even write a note on my reservation for it. Has anyone stayed in a renovated room???

The only problem with picking the Grand Floridian is that you'll never want to stay anywhere else!!!! GF ALL THE WAY!

This might seem a little bizarre but last two times I was at the GF the elevators in Big Pine Key and Boca Chica are really in need of repair. They are so painfully slow and kind of dingy. I might be just overly picky...

Are you able to request turndown service if you're not club level? I was able to last year at the Yacht Club and just tipped the maid at the end of the stay.

I love so many of the lines, but Tower of Terror never fails to amaze me. The theme is so well executed.

My favorite is the Grand Floridian...I'm just in love. Boardwalk is a close second. I despise Saratoga Springs so much, it's unhealthy.

I have stayed at the Boardwalk villas close to 20 times but never the Inn part. I will be staying at the Inn in the first week of July and need some suggestions for rooms, room location, if I can request turndown service, etc. Thanks!

I always wonder which resort has the most average vacancies. One would think it's the Grand Floridian because it's expensive, but last time the woman who checked me in at the GF said it's not nearly the least busy resort. In fact, she said it was the most popular resort besides the values.

Tower of Terror

I have done this several times... usually staying at one lower end deluxe and then switching over to the GF for the last few nights (only when it's too expensive at the GF.)

It's so funny that you mention the howling! That is the first thing I can remember ever about Disney...going out onto the balcony of our room at the GF as a 4 year old and saying to my dad, "What's that noise?!" I was so excited to go on the Haunted Mansion, I almost peed my pants!

I love Boca Chica because I am a creature of habit. But I have been in Big Pine Key, Conch Key, and Sugar Loaf. None have disappointed me so far!

1. Grand Floridian (my first resort and so luxurious!) 2. Boardwalk (close second to GF, love the theme) 3. Yacht/Beach Club (the pool) 4. Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower (nostalgia) 5. TIE: Animal Kingdom Lodge (cool theme) & Polynesian (would never stay, but SO Disney)

Don't change!!! The GF is where it's at, plus the rooms are being renovated now.

I am a DVC member, and I think there is already too much DVC at WDW!

I have to say, if I didn't stop into the Polynesian for dinner at Ohana and a look around Boutiki, the trip to Disney would definitely be incomplete. However, I just don't see how people pay similar prices to stay here compared to what you get at the Grand Floridian! I am partial to the Grand...

Okay Poly fans, I want to know what about this hotel makes you so obsessed. Personally, it's very Disney to me, but I just don't see what people love about it! It feels like an overpriced moderate at best to me. (Don't hurt me Poly fans.) All thoughts/comments appreciated!
