So I called today to request a renovated room when I check in on Tuesday but the woman said there is no such renovation going on and she refused to even write a note on my reservation for it. Has anyone stayed in a renovated room???

That was rude of her to not at least add a note. What ever happened to "the customer is always right"?
I know! I was rude right back to her. I may sound spoiled but I have to say I always find flaws in the cast members at every resort but the Grand Floridian...maybe Disney sends the best of the best there? I don't know, I always feel like the GF cast members are just a step above the rest...even though I love the Boardwalk.

FWIW, and I'm no expert on this, but I've read on numerous other threads that, when you call any Disney hotel, you're actually calling a streamlined call center that answers the phones for all of the resorts (even if the way they answer the phone indicates otherwise). If that is true, then the idea that you calling the Grand Floridian would have ended with a different result may not be true. I don't doubt that they have fantastic face-to-face service... for the prices they charge, they better not be providing any less than top notch. I could be wrong, but it may be something to keep in mind.

I'd call again, if you have time over the next few days, and see if a different CM gives you a different reply. It's not like others here haven't gotten varied responses from calling the same number twice before.
