They’ll work seamlessly as is. Any MB attached to your MDE account and activated will work. After about two years the internal battery will die and on-ride photos and interactions won’t work any more, but the MB will still work for touch points (room/park entry, room charges at stores, etc…)

Old MB will still work for most things. When the battery dies (approximately two years old), you’ll stop getting ride photos and seeing your name on screens in queues or on rides.

MB are not being eliminated. After 31 December they won’t be given out for free to resort guests. If you’re going this July, you’ll still receive free MB with a resort stay or you can upgrade the free version for a small fee to one with characters or Disney themes. After this year, I don’t know...

Yes, the passive RFID works forever. Only the ride photo or screen mentions of your name while on rides won’t work. If you’re using a smart phone with the MDE app, it will interact with rides through Bluetooth if you activate that (there are Q-codes you can use to activate the Bluetooth)...

Governor just signed an Executive Order barring the use of “Vaccine Passports” in Florida. The CDC says you can travel domestically and Internationally if you’re fully vaccinated. These two things conflict.

FYI Disney will not ship MB to Canada. Because they have transmitters they would require CRTC approval, to clear them for multiple countries would be expensive. Also, I recommend against buying from online sellers, they can’t be added to your MDE account if they’ve been attached to someone else’s.
