Most Over Rated Restaurant at WDW.

Ours is definitely Chef Mickey's. Ate dinner there once. The food was horrible and it just didn't even come close to living up to expectations. Maybe it was because we were seated in a room to the side but, it just didn't have the fun atmosphere that we were expecting.

    POFQ or CSR

We love everything about POFQ. It is the smallest of the moderate resorts with a little over 1,000 rooms. It seems like you're never far away from the buses, food court, pool, or hotel store no matter where your room is. We love the New Orleans theming and how calm and peaceful the grounds...

    When do you pack?

In all honesty, I've had the suitcases on the dining room table for a couple of weeks now and we don't leave until Nov. 8th. I pack some items, then take others out. I second-guess what I'm bringing until the day we leave. I always end up over-packing but I'd rather have too much rather than...

    Best Breakfast anywhere?

We love Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom and the Cape May Cafe character breakfast is awesome, too!:)

Help Me Choose!...Chef Mickey's dinner or Donald's Safari breakfast

Our dinner experience at Chef Mickey's left a lot to be desired. It didn't live up to the hype for us at all and we'll never do it again. Maybe we'll try breakfast there some day but not dinner. The food was horrible. On the other hand, we'll be eating at Donald's Safari Breakfast for the...

    I need some advice...

We are also going this November (8-16th). Staying at POFQ. We went last year at exactly the same time (8-15th). We found the crowds to be very manageable last year and the weather was beautiful. The Food and Wine Festival ended on the 8th last year but I think it goes until the 14th this...

So, who's going to be making ADRs for Via Napoli tomorrow?

Booked Via Napoli for November 11th at 12:45 for lunch. Dinner is Le Cellier that day. Can't wait! Glad DH was online at 6am this morning to book Via Napoli! It will be interesting to see how quickly this restaurant books up.

Which meals do you use your DP credits on?

We always use most of our table service credits for dinner. Except for an occasional character breakfast. Part of the reason is to get the most bang for our buck but, also because we like to take our time and unwind at the end of the day with a wonderful meal. We find quick service lunches...

    Odds of Seeing Mary Poppins???

We saw Mary Poppins as we were going into our breakfast at Akershus.

    Best Moderate Resort

We love Port Orleans French Quarter. It's the smallest of the moderate resorts (about 1/2 as many rooms as the others) so it's easy to get around. The theme is wonderful and it's a very relaxing resort. It never seems crowded and the food court does everything that we need it to do. Although...

    Tony's?

We have always had wonderful food at Tony's, until our last meal there in November, 2009. The food was absolutely horrible. The service was also the worst that we have ever had at any Disney restaurant. That being said, we are giving it another chance when we return to the World in November...

    Restaurants most/least impressed by...

Le Cellier remains our #1 favorite. It has always lived up to it's reputation and then some. I would say that we were pleasantly surprised by Chefs de France. It far surpassed our expectations. We also were surprised by Hoop dee Doo Revue and how much we loved it (we'll be going there for...

    Tipping at table sit downs

I always tip 20%. My husband has a part time job as a server (not in Disney) and one thing to remember is that the server generally has to tip out other people at the restaurant, usually the bartender, busser, and possibly the hosts and hostesses. This doesn't mean that you have to over tip but...

    Moderate Resorts???

We love Port Orleans French Quarter! It's the smallest moderate resort and is so peaceful after a day at the parks. The kids love the pool with it's dragon slide and the entire theme of the hotel. We also love to take the boat to Downtown Disney! For our family of four, this is the perfect...

    Questions about booking Dining Reservations

The credit card is just to hold the reservation. Your card will not be charged. When you are at the show your server will take your Key to the World card and deduct 2 meals credits for the show. Also, tip is included when you use the dining plan on meals that cost 2 credits.
