Just to throw a different question in.. Out of interest I wondered if anyone here has been been to any of the UK theme parks (Alton Towers, Thorpe Park etc.. ) and what you thought of them?

dont know why but there is something about Mickey Mouse walking up to you and speaking French.. that's just wrong somehow!! No one does a theme park quite like you Americans... it has to be said!! :)

Thanks for advice! it will be a few years before we can afford to go anyhow so I have a while to talk him round! I have convinced him to go to our biggest theme park (Alton Towers) when it opens again in the April.. its not a patch on disney but it might go someways to convincing him! Its...

I adore going to theme parks and disney blew me away when I went in 2000 and 2002... it was Incredible but now I need to convince my other half that he would love to go to WDW with me sometime.. !! This boy has never been on a rollercoaster and says he hates the idea of being out of control...

Just over 10 hours!! have done it a couple of time now!! a long journey but its worth it!! Orlando one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK now. Wish I could afford it more often!!

Would be great to see what Disney could do with Harry Potter theme (am a huge fan of both!)... but I do think that as Mr Potter comes from good old GB.. if there is going to be any ride or theme park.. it should be with us!
