The No One Get Sick Again PTR

Hi Steve! I'm also from the Chicago area (eastern DuPage co.) On our first trip, my kids were about the same ages as your kids on your upcoming trip. My kids are now 17, 15 and 12, and I've lost track of how many times we've been to WDW (either six or seven.) So what is your thought process...

2 Londoners at WDW Trip Report!

Okay, I usually don't literally LOL at things on the internet, but this trip report is doing it. When your pics actually got smaller and then BIGGER, I lost it. Your commentary is hilarious.

Yay!!...an unexpected December trip with my mom and my 4yo

What company did you buy your park tickets from? We always use undercover tourist and have never had an issue. Don't worry, I'm sure yours are fine.

2 Londoners at WDW Trip Report!

You can't quit now! I just started reading it! You really have an awesome sense of humor (I guess because you're British.) I love reading trip reports, but I often wait until it's all written so I can read it all at once. One of the reasons I didn't write a report after our August trip was...

Favorite "best kept secrets" in the Parks

Oh, and based on reading trip reports, we checked out Bob Jackson's piano show at the bar at PORS. That was a lot of fun!

Favorite "best kept secrets" in the Parks

We saw the "Candy Lady" in Japan for the first time in August and thought that her talent was fascinating. I usually love the acrobats in China, but this trip, the show wasn't that interesting.

Did I seriously just run 10 miles??? A Tower of Terror 10-miler Trip Report!

It's so fun to see people from other trip reports pop up in yours! Love the detailed pictures of your room at PORS. Totally want to stay there on my next trip.

    Input Appreciated!

"Don't ask; don't tell." I've never heard of the Disney police kicking anyone out of their room, but I guess it could happen. How can mousekeeping determine how many people are sleeping in your room (and do they really care?) I've never taken DME from the airport, but maybe they do a head...

    Off property hotels

Check out mousesavers.com for her suggestions and deals. We've stayed at the Marriott Village several times and always had good experiences.

    Cost??

My family and I did Characters in Flight in 2009. The reason I wanted to do it is because I'm too scared to go up in a hot air balloon, and I figured this was a less scary alternative. I'm glad I did it once, just to say I did, but don't need to do it again. I didn't find the views to be that...

Do You Tell Your Kids About Walt?

I'm going to echo the love for "One Man's Dream." It's a great synopsis of what Walt was all about and my kids' biggest source of information about him. It's a must do for me at DHS and the only attraction/show that brings on the tears for me.

    Teary moments at Disney

Parades and fireworks do nothing for me in the emotions department. I like to see my kids enjoying themselves, but it's never brought the tears. But every time I watch "One Man's Dream," the kleenex comes out.

    Send the country bears packing!

I'm not sure why I'm stepping into this, but here goes. I think it was the OP's opinion that the country bears look like "good ole boys" who are often stereotyped as being racist and that was one of his reasons why he doesn't appreciate CBJ. The OP also thinks it's boring and not funny. It's...

    AoA Buses

AoA has its own buses, and they have pushed the Pop buses back one more spot at the theme parks!

    Tablets in the parks...

We were behind a large family (8 or 9 people) that took up the first two rows of the Great Movie Ride. Three of them recorded the entire ride: one iPad, one phone and one camera! Your whole family is here! Who else is going to want to watch your entire video of the Great Movie Ride? Do you...

    Giving up unusable fastpasses....do you?

We gave away our FP's to Soarin' on our way out of Epcot. I had the hardest time finding a party of 5, so I gave them to a family of 4. They were very appreciative. I spent about 5 minutes trying to give away 2 FP's to Kali River Rapids, but couldn't find any takers. I finally gave them to a...

    DTD Hotels..

I would make a reservation that can be cancelled if you decide to stop before you get to Orlando. Also, I'd recommend the Springhill Suites in the Marriott Village. It's about 5 minutes outside of Downtown Disney just on the other side of I-4. I think it would be cheaper than the Doubletree...

    POP buses

I stayed at Pop the first week of August, and, unless I'm really unobservant (which I'm not ruling out), they were just regular buses, not articulated. I thought the bus service was really good from Pop. I never timed them, but it never felt too long. Our best bus ride was back from MK on a...

    Epcot Must Do

I won't repeat all the things mentioned so far, but on our last trip (one week ago) we loved watching the candy making lady in Japan. Definitely worth 20 minutes of your time. I usually love the Chinese acrobats, but this trip, I didn't find the performance to be awe-inspiring like I have in...

The 'Honey your famous, where did the pretty girlies go?'..July Trip Report.

Hey, no fair! We saw the Lion King show about two weeks after you and the monkeys didn't do any of the acrobatic stuff! That was our favorite part of the show too when we've seen it in the past. Well at least it probably is still part of the show. It was probably just cut from the...
