  • If the Plaza can accept any walk-ins, I guess we'll try it. But we're not too big on eating sit-down meals inside the parks. LOL Good idea for the Fantasmic package. The funny thing is that we tried booking for Fantasmic last year and they didn't have any open spots! They really have to stop showing the show only twice a week. It's wreaking havoc on everything else.

What sets Earl apart from other places? I hear nothing but good about it. Perhaps one night when the parks close early we'll head over to DTD. Plus, I'm a late eater. (Bad habit, I know.)

Not so much cafes, but there are tables and benches set up where you can eat. I'm pretty sure you can walk up and order food at some stations, too. I hear so much about Costco samples, and even though I live within two minutes of one, I've only been there twice in my life. Is that sad?
hmmmm I don't think they will change it either. Probably just placating everyone to shut them up LOL yeah we'll revisit it..then SLAM NOPE the door is shutting ha ha ha! You are going either way so don't worry about it...I know you hate taking the kids out of school those days but it's like you said, you've had it planned and scheduled forever so ________ on them! LOL
ha ha I may get brave and eat at the counter at 50's PT Cafe ....but I need to be very brave LOL

Honey...I go early and I stay late....I like to drink every ounce in (lol) but since it's my last day and the parks crowd numbers are so dang low....i may not head out until 9 or so...putting me inside EP around 10.....will probably do a CS at La Cantina (the outside portion of La Hacienda - too many la la lassss! LOL) - I can't remember what I have scheduled for Friday for dinner.....oh yeah...I'm thinking Via Napoli because I was going to do Rose and Crown Wednesday...but I'm thinking I MIGHT do Rose and Crown again only because the seating for Illuminations is supposed to be awesome! There is a method to my madness somewhere LOL
those darn vinylmations - i just can't get used to them! lol they creep me out but go for it...they are relatively inexpensive so would be good for collecting :-)

I have my days etched down now...Monday is MK, Tuesday is AK, Wednesday is Epcot, Thursday is DHS and Friday is Epcot again...so it looks like we'll both be doing epcot the same day! On friday i'm leaning towards la hacienda or tangerine cafe for lunch and then via napoli for dinner...we'll see. As we know nothing is etched in stone until the fat lady sings (no i'm not singing yet LOL JK)- Then of course I'm having dinner with you sunday night so yeah!

Kind of in tithers about where to eat at DHS - any counter service suggestions?? Was thinking Hollywood and Vine for dinner BUT i'm going solo so maybe not LOL
Sorry about the delay...real life has caught up a bit!

If that's the case, I'd definitely love to eat at The Plaza. I walk by it all of the time but I've never bothered to eat there. I'll talk it over with my family, I believe we're making reservations this week. Was there anywhere specific your dad and his girlfriend wanted to eat? We're eating at Mama Melrose's again so we can take advantage of the Fantasmic dining package.

I'm also looking to eat at the Earl of Sandwich, though my family might opt for Wolfgang Puck express. Gosh, I never realized that there were so many great places to eat at Disney!

It's weird...never before have I enjoyed going to the grocery store so much, especially now since grocery stores have places to eat inside. I've gotten bowls of chili from the nearby grocery store and it's always been delicious!
I love your food choices but what restaurants are you doing on what days? LOL I'm trying to figure out if you'll be in the same place I am for a quick hello or whatever...I wish I had your regular email..this thing is kind of restrictive in how much you can write but that's ok for now I guess! but it would be nice to see what days you are doing which parks and meals....

I'm feeling kind of weird going without Lindsay....she keeps telling me GO but it's weird you know? Maybe I'm having guilt LMAO!!! maybe not...maybe it's just me. I'll be ok though. No worries there...although I am thinking if gas keeps going up...airfares are going to go sky high which means I'll probably drive myself instead of fly. Which is ok. Not like I haven't driven it before - just not solo! LOL Thank GOD for GPS! ha ha ha!

Once I get my schedule reworked....I'll send you what parks on what dates for SURE. My sister things I need to do Epcot 2 days instead of MK. We'll see.
Hey there - no clue why it's being revisited but your thoughts are probably dead on. Oh well we are all still going LOL

LeCellier became TWO TS credits so yeah they are pretty much off my scale now unless I had linds and we split something - way too expensive. My sister keeps wanting me to change up my dining choices...so now I'm retweaking for the full dining experience but not looking like an idiot cause I'm solo LOL She also told me September can be HOT so to plan accordingly...I'm not a shorts kind of gal so maybe capris ha ha ha! and lots of water baby!

Are you leaving the 17th? Is that why you can do your ADR's the 21st? I was told the 22nd by Disney on mine BUT I leave the 18th so maybe that is why....

Don't you love this weather? 70 to 40's with tons of rain and lots of wind....only in GA!!!
I thought I emailed you back but i didnt LOL i'll do from home but real quick.....CC school board of education is revisiting the school calendar issue at next wednesdays meeting - just a quick heads up!
Tristan will love his Kindle! It's like the gift that keeps on giving.

Your list has a few I want to try...Beaches and Cream, Yak and Yeti, Garden Grill, and the Plaza. Have you eaten at the Plaza before? Mama Melroses's is a great choice. The only thing I'm wondering about is Planet Hollywood, since I haven't heard great things about it, but it's worth a shot. Everything else sounds delicious just by me reading it! (Or maybe just because I'm hungry...)
Sounds like a wise choice! The Cantina has got some good reviews. We may want to eat at the Coral Reef but I'm not sure. Eating in an aquarium sounds cool!

Happy birthday to Tristan! What did you guys decide to get him for his birthday?

I don't think I have your newly revised ADRs yet. I think sometime tomorrow or tonight I'll draft up a semi-final list. My mind is racing with possibilities!

Yikes, Le Cellier got rid of their prime rib? What do you think of the menu changes there?
Good points. Come to think of it, I really can't see us buying one anytime soon. Laundry andcooking are some of the reasons we go on vacation in the first place...to avoid them! You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to our trip, LOL.

I want to try the new place, too. To be honest we're torn between quite a few ADR's now...when we het a semifinal list can I run it by you for your opinion on them?
Hey there! GUESS what showed up in the mail today - my Passporter! What a cool book! The only thing is I'm surprised it's as massive as it is LOL BUT I LOVE it...cannot wait until I delve in to every single page....you did good girl! LOL

YEAH for Chef Mickey's! That will be fun....I'm actually going to be going back to the Contemporary Monday night also...eating that $40 steak at Cali Grill and watching those damn fireworks from the 15th floor if it kills me LMAO!!!

Family - EXACTLY. I told my "mother" once....I have to love you. I DO NOT have to like you. Think it was doomed from the start??? ha ha! And yes, life is too short. Live for the now baby and enjoy every ounce of it :-)
Woohoo on your Passporter showing up! Sorry to hear you and to cut Boma and Ohana, though. San Angel Inn is a great restaurant, just by walking in to the restaurant, you'll automatically love it. I hope you have a great meal, too. We've always had a great dinner, but some people say the quality isn't great, though I disagree.

LOL I've considered becoming a DVC member, too, but like you, funds get in the way. Plus, I'd love to have the freedom to stay wherever I want, and I don't know if you'd have that with DVC.
Hi there....OOPS on my end. the passporter I ordered that is being shipped as we speak is the 2010 one! Don't know how I did that but hopefully it is just as good as the 2011 - it will just be missing a couple things LMAO! blonde moment!!! ha ha!

Moms...well let's put it this way, I haven't talked to my parents in going on 5 years now. I was adopted and don't get me wrong...I LOVE my dad to death. Unfortunately, he is married to "renee" (my mother). You can only be criticized, put down and beat down so many times before you just say screw it...so I did. Renee is also all about HER and nothing anyone else does is right. Screw it (lol HUGE sore subject as you can see so I feel your pain honey! xx)

And thanks for singing to me ha ha ha!

PS - going to be close to 70 today - woohoo!:sohappy:
Welcome back! I'm glad you had a great time, despite the part about your mom. I'll keep her in my prayers.

So wait...now you finally may be getting your Passporter!? That's excellent! You've been waiting quite a while for it. Maybe tomorrow when I'm at Barnes and Noble I'll buy a Passporter there, the again, I had intended on buying real reading books, not more things to get me excited for WDW LOL.

Oh, I totally forgot about the Art of Animation! That hotel is starting to look really cool. The family suites wouldn't really work for us but for you and your family, they'd be great. When your kids are older (oh no!) you might want to stay at the Beach Club. The pool area is the best at WDW (by a long shot), and you can walk to EPCOT and take a five minute boat ride to MGM. When your boys get older they might start liking those parks more, so that's also something to consider.
Sounds like you guys are having a great time!

Maybe you'll stay at the Contemporary next! From what I hear, the Grand Floridian and Polynesian are nicer resorts than the Contemporary, but I guess I can finally judge for myself in..six months! Wow, WDW is coming soon!

And no problem...just thought I'd pass that information along. Parks that don't have any EMH are generally less crowded (with a few exceptions) than the ones that do, but we just stick with any parks that have the evening hours. There's nothing like being in a Disney park after dark.
Hola from Kennesaw, GA LOL Didn't realize you were staying the week but good for you! Some rest and relaxation...I hope anyways. I've missed you too!

Nooo passporter yet but it should be soon and I can't wait! very excited to look it over and investigate it thoroughly....I've been working more on my meal plans today from work (at lunch of course ha ha ha!) and am tweaking stuff.....going to try the Rose and Crown (have never been) and watch Illuminations from there one night.....also thinking about doing the Fantasmic dinner package (at Hollywood and Vine) as I've never see that either!

Regarding school....if you go to www.petition24.com - there is a big petition on there about our school calendar..half of cobb has signed it already it seems! they are still talking recall but nothing has transpired yet....and don't give up yet. You still have time before you have to make any changes or fight more fights lol
Hello! How is it in Alabama? It's odd to think that our trips are mere weeks apart. One of my family members had been wanting to stay at the Contemporary for years now, so I guess this is what we're doing! I'm pretty indifferent, though I love how close we are to MK.

Yes, let me know how your schedule changes. Three years ago we had to modify our schedule to meet up with our family friends...i'm not big on travelling in large groups but it wound up being quite fun.

LOL good plan! Avoid the morning hours as much as possible, and don't visit parks on the days that they have morning EMH's. On those days the park is considerably more crowded and filled with cranky kids and toddlers.
Hope your trip went/is going well! changed up my schedule a bit based on the park hours and wanted to give you a heads up just in case (lol)
Sunday still the same so I can meet you guys for dinner
    Monday doing MK
    Tuesday AK
    Wed EP
    thurs DHS and
Friday MK again...not too exciting but there you go!

will do cali grill at the contemporary monday night so i get my 15th floor fireworks fix (lmao) and probably going to do the fantasmic dinner show Thursday (have never done and have never seen!!)...that's it so far ha ha ha!
