  • Hopefully Sean was okay! Did your kids have fun on vacation, or visiting your brother?

Sorry to hear you won't be spending your 20th at WDW, but hey, maybe you'll spend it somewhere new and even more special! :D What about Napa, California?
OUCH poor Sean! Those darn jellyfish suck when they get ya LOL He'll be ok though. Just hurts you when your kids hurt. Sounds like all in all they had a good time at the beach I'm sure!

When were you at the Disney store? I actually broke down (do NOT laugh lol) and took Linds and Savannah to the Mall on Friday for a little bit. Gave them each a 10 spot and said "meet me HERE (by penney's) in 1 hour....and then hopped off to the Disney store ha ha! Got a couple tote boats (the red, white and black vinyl ones) for Marianne at work who is going in July for her boys to start the goodie bags. On sale for $1.49!! And a new mug. The tall pink Minnie mug. It was on clearance for $3.99 - yeah! lol I hate the Mall but broke down. I'm weak LMAO!

Hey tomorrow starts your first FULL week! yeah!
Well, as it turns out the Fantasmic Dining package is booked for the day on our trip we were to see it. Surprisingly enough though, we were able to make reservations at Mama Melroses' at a peak meal time. Not sure what this means.

Ah, the DVC bug really has bitten you, has it? :D

We don't really do any countdown, besides the one I have on here. I remind my family when we get to nice round numbers, like 150 or such. Now that I think of it, we should do a big family calendar like you're doing. It'd get us much more excited. :)
If I didn't know better, I'd have to pick Tower of Terror, too. Splash Mountain, the Gran Fiesta Tour, Thunder Mountain, and Living with the Land would be VERY close contenders. But nothing can beat Tower of Terror, though I'd love to see Disney build something that does.

LOL Oh, the joys of touring at WDW. I don't think we've ever divided our days into Future World/World Showcase. We go into the park not knowing what to expect.

By the way, have you been able to book Fantasmic dates yet? They still aren't accepting our reservations.
That's what I think about EPCOT, too. You definitely get your admission price's worth. There's just so much to do that you can really spend two days there going over everything. I also love the lake area of MGM Studios. For some reason I've grown an attachment to it.

LOL Yea, I don't think I could handle JUST one day. I could spend the day at the Magic Kingdom and then see EPCOT in the background and then regret my decision. If you could ride just one ride at WDW right now, what would it be?
ok missy...i'm like 10 years + older then you...if I don't need wrinkle cream you sure as HELL don't need wrinkle cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Well that sucks about being broke- trust me...right there with ya! LOL ok about the dinner..why not pack a romantic picnic dinner and have it somewhere....maybe the tables at swift cantrell....or kennesaw mountain....somewhere like that! that is eating out (technically LOL)...you are using food you already have and can enjoy each others company!!

Money savings...well I always find budget plans for the electric the best way to go...yes it may be $160 every month year round...BUT it's better then getting slapped with $400 over the winter for heat...then a couple month break...then a/c and such....i like it better when i know what's coming each month. Phone is easy. If you have a cell - just use those. Cancel the other phones....but if you have to have it there are a couple like $10/month plans from those unknown companies LOL...cable - go basic! that's what netflix is for..you can download all the movies you want for like $12 a month lol...if I think of anything else i'll email it.
167 and counting - yeah! Airtran is running a special right now...works out to be $239 Roundtrip but you have to book by 4/14 and I can't do that. My sis swears it will go lower so I'll be patient I guess!

Regarding the glasses...and at Kohl's you would have been charged tax! LOL -

Spring break is fine. I'm working. Linds is at home with her BFF playing video games and torturing the dog and cats I'm sure - ha ha! Taking Friday off. Taking her and Savannah to lunch at Big Pie as a treat. Then Saturday we are going to Ruby Falls and Rock City and Savannah will spend the night. Big woo hoo right? LOL

My itinerary is OFFICIALLY etched in stone - yeah! Have 1 MK day, 1 AK day, 2 EP days and 1 DHS day...then of course the first night is din din with you guys so I'm psyched!
The worst is when it's dry out and the pollen gathers on the side of the road and clumps together and blows like tumbleweed. It's nauseating.

I get the real flutter when I get on the Magical Express bus at the airport, because I know it's taking me straight to my hotel, and from there, the possibilities are endless! I think we're heading to EPCOT as our first park of the trip. I can't wait!

My favorite park? I don't want to say I like the Animal Kingdom the least, but that may be the case. If I had one day to visit any theme park, it'd probably be EPCOT. Though if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be the Magic Kingdom. What about you?

Oh, and I love MGM Studios. I know many hate it, but the park is very cool to me.
I think prices are pretty high right now. Right now we're trying to choose between Atlantic City or Newark, depending on which one's cheaper and our dogs. One of our dogs, the 16-year old, we don't expect to live past July, but we aren't sure. It's easier/cheaper to board them at family down in Atlantic City but we're not sure what to do yet.

Unless I'm traveling somewhere I've never been before or really foreign, I don't get that "little kid" feeling anywhere else. There's something about walking under Spacehip Earth or down Main Street that's just unparalleled. It's so perfect.

We don't have spring break for another two weeks. My allergies have been pretty bad, and it's back to the normal routine of dabbling with Zyrtec and Claritin until my symptoms go away. Not a whole lot is blooming yet, though tomorrow's supposed to be 70 so I guess we'll be seeing a lot of pollination.
Woo-hoo! Glad to hear it went well. I'll keep you guys in my prayers, especially for your patience with the kids!

"Be Our Guest" is probably my favorite song from a Disney movie. I especially love in PhilarMagic when they have the "Be Our Guest" scene and they spray the food scent.

The Disney bug still hasn't quite bitten me yet, though I guess it's only a matter of time. Once our air travel gets booked, I think I'll be good. :D
ok on conversation #2 lol at least it is over with like you said and YEAH you are going to like it - that's a huge hurdle..and there are always a couple in the lot that cause grief of some type or another...as you know, just let them know who is boss! LO

Yeah in the 160's now !! 169 or 168 not sure ha ha! Working (like you) to start paying down the vacation...it "appears" free dining MAY be offered for our week but not sure yet and probably wont' see anything definitive until june/july based on the grapevine so we'll see!
OH no you'll be fine! I had on jeans and a disney T shirt LOL Lindsay had on shorts and a shirt of some type. We both had on sneakers - I'm sure you'll be fine!

We split the steak they have on the menu - It had some type of mushroom sauce and it was absolutely to die for - melted in the mouth! yummy! lol It came with some potatos of some type on the side..you'll love it if you get it!
Sorry this has taken me so long to get to! I hope you're getting more excited for your new job!

By the way, I'm listening to "Be Prepared" from The Lion King. I can't listen to Jeremy Irons' voice without thinking back to Spaceship Earth.

Interesting that you guys are thinking about DVC! I could definitely see it in the long run being cost effective. If you could build your own DVC anywhere in WDW, where would it be?

LOL No worries, the rest of my families loathes that kind of Latin music. Though we do love eating at Mexican food restaurants and San Angel Inn...
Hey there...kinda weird they are starting you on a Friday! lol I'd figure a Monday but go figure..it is Cobb County - haha & at least you ARE starting!

& oh stop...I have a granny suit (lol) you know..black short type bathing suit bottom with a pin striped top that covers my stomach! I figure I don't have to see those people again so I don't give a rip if I look good or not ha! Besides it's few & far between I get in the pools there anyways...pretty much just Linds does...heck last year she didn't even WANT to go in - would rather watch the Disney channel - huh? lol

Packing lists??? Oh there are some GREAT ones floating around online. I print them every year then throw them out because I have 'disney' boxes which is pretty much everything i need every year except whatever new clothes I'm bringing - they have my lanyards, ponchos, autograph books, etc...you know everything that gets brought every year LOL

RAIN again today - my back yard is officially the home of a new pool!
Well at least it's over and done now. The fact that nothing really bothered you on your last day means you were meant to move on - do you start the ASP gig tomorrow? What are your hours? I know it's just a Monday thru Friday thing now which I'm sure makes you happy happy!

I hear ya on the money thing LOL My room and tickets was $958 and only having paid the $200 deposit...I have $758 to go! I plan on putting another $200 down my next check on 4/8 IF i don't take Linds somewhere for a long weekend...we may just do an overnight in Chattanooga vs. 3 nights in Myrtle Beach but I can't make up my mind LOL I'll figure it out in a week or so at the final countdown - doh!!!!

    GREAT rain! lol
Congrats! :D You must be feeling very free right now...I guess it's time for new beginnings!

I haven't been listening to Motown lately, but I love that style of music. It's simply beautiful. While on a topic of music, I suggest listen to "Pueblo Nuevo" by Buena Vista Social Club. I'm not sure if you're a fan of Latin music, but I really seem to like it for some reason. It reminds me of WDW, but so do a lot of things!

The lack of Fantasmic shows really is a bummer. I wish that they had more since it would make things a lot easier. I really wish they put in that night parade at the Animal Kingdom, too.
Got it! It is officially on my itinerary - yeah! I'm very excited because now we are in the 170's LOL silly huh?

Any time somebody gives notice when you are leaving on good terms...it gets emotional. You like working there, you like the people - but you know in your heart it's not what you want to do! I'm just glad you got something you really wanted because now your foot is INSIDE the door and sky is the limit baby!

I swapped....I kept Via Napoli...dumped Mama Mia's (LOL) and am attempting the counter at 50's as I have a rezzie there...I'll behave so I "should" stay out of trouble ha ha

I forgot to tell you Monday a.m. I swung my leg up onto the bed to put my socks on (it's easier LOL) and I felt something in my lower back rippppp....holy ________ I have NEVER hurt that bad LOL made it thru the day on pain pills and am doing better now but if it's a pulled muscle...it takes a bit to heal and it's letting me know it LMAO!
That's not typically music I listen to but I did enjoy that track! I do like listening to soul, but I don't listen to it enough. Have you ever heard of the movie "The Commitments"?

That's the thing with the Poly- everyone loves it. I guess the Polynesian theme is so hard to capture elsewhere, but Disney does it perfectly. Hopefully in the near future I find myself back there, but I doubt it.

I'm still mad that they cut Fantasmic to two shows a night. Now the current shows are even more crowded, and you can only see it on certain nights, meaning we have to plan our schedule around it, which doesn't make me too happy.

Congratulations on having a weight lifted off your shoulders! :D
Yikes, I didn't realize Macy's was so unreasonable! I'm glad you're out of there.

As we speak, we're currently on the phone with Dining to make reservations for the Fantasmic Dining Package/Mama Melrose's. It isn't sounding too good...

I'm hearing Kona Cafe being called the best restaurant on property and I'd love to check it out. Are you really excited to stay at the Polynesian?
