  • ok I can't find you...I found Tristan but not you!!! LMAO!!! you try and find me....Lisa Alphen - i have the castle as my icon (imagine that LOL)
ha yes she is looking forward to it but i not so much like you LOL too funny! she always has her best friend stay at the house with her...by the end of the summer they are ready to kill each other LOL it's ok tho...

yep still doing WW - I seem to average 1.4 to 1.8 pounds a week - i'll take it...i'll take anything LOL I go over off of barrett near where hobby lobby is/was...it's WW kennesaw/cobb center...you should come (if you need to I mean LOL that just doesn't sound right ha ha!)

thanks for sharing the FB info! When i get home later I'll friend you and yeah then I'll know who I'm looking for come 9/18 LMAO!!!
This year went by so quickly, I can't believe it. I guess they just get quicker as the years drag on and on. I'd be scared of First Graders as well, some of them have very devious minds! I'm sure you're handling them well, though.

I feel the same way you do. I just need to "escape". Eventually, work, people, and New Jersey wear down on me after a while and I just can't wait to go away for a long time to not deal with any of that. It's much more relieving that my vacation is at the end of summer, almost as if "hey, you've worked hard all year...time to treat yourself to seven days of Mickey ice cream bars!".

I haven't left the state of NJ in over nine months. The only other places I've gone since then are NYC and some places in Pennsylvania...really nothing much. In two weeks I'm heading down to DC for an extended weekend, and a few weeks from that, I'll be in Canada with some family. Two months later, I'll be walking down Main Street at 1am. :D
As much as I love the weather in the south, I don't think I could justify moving there. We're pretty firmly rooted in Central NJ for now (with one exception, all of my family lives within a two hour drive). Plus, my dogs are very much cold weather dogs (Malamutes, which look pretty close to Huskies). Them and their fur coats wouldn't be too appreciative of warm weather year 'round.
ha ha I totally understand! Hey you COULD try the Disney store again..I'm guessing applications get lost and such so wouldn't hurt! heck if I knew for sure i'd be getting a store discount at the Disney Store (do they do that?) I'd be applying for a couple nights a week LOL I knew you weren't happy with Macy's but didn't realize it was that bad - I'm sorry about that!

Glad you are getting some time away. Do you stay with relatives when you go away or stay at a hotel? We are staying at the Cumberland Inn and Suites in St. Mary's - very nice and got a GREAT rate! I'll take photos...but I'd need your facebook info if you facebook or an email address...just a thought!
hi there..just checking in! I've been swamped at work - ugh! I hate when it gets this busy LOL but work is good so keep it coming on...speaking of - guess you are winding down for the summer next week. can you work at Macy's again until school starts back up to keep some income coming in....just curious!

great weather - love it when it's cool! getting excited about the cumberland island trip...leave 5/27 - woohoo!~
OH! LOL. Gosh I don't think we've ever planned *that* far ahead! ;) I hope you're able to pay it off quickly, though!

I'm someone that thrives in hot, humid weather. Unfortunately, we don't have too much of it. I think our high today was 63 as well, but then again it was raining all day.

Good for Tristan for dancing! In eighth grade boys are usually still too cool to dance, at least in my experience.
Sorry I've been gone for so long. Hopefully things start getting back into the swing now!

Wait a minute, is there a chance you would be going in the Dec. of this year? LOL. Right now I'm really looking forward to our August trip, I can't even begin to think about our Dec trip (which won't be for as long). But like you, I'm just really, really dying to see the decorations and music and such. Hopefully EPCOT installs the Lights of Winter or something cool to make up for the declining amount of decorations.

Congrats to Tristan! I hope he had fun. I remember way back when I was in eighth grade...I wanted to leave that dance ASAP! LOL. I also remembering being a huge pain in the backside to find suits for me. I was (and probably still am) a tall, skinny kind of body type. We drove halfway across New Jersey to find a suit that fits that.

90's!? You guys are lucky. It hit 75 and was humid today, and I was flourishing. I can't wait for more WDW-esque weather.
well I thought I had written you back but obviously not! LOL sorry! I've been looking to see a response from you all weekend and DOH! ding dong me LMAO!

I've been reading the Passporter again also....wet crinky pages and all - if you remember, I spilled coke on it ha ha but it's serving it's temporary purpose - INFORMATION!

The sales guy I work with I think got me a Disney gift card..I've been helping him and his wife plan a trip for the kids...he said he got me a surprise and can't wait to give it to me for my trip...but when I told him I wasn't leaving till September he was all verklempt! LOL Like NOOO now I have to wait to give it to you LOL
My mother's day was a bit busy to be honest! We drove down to Absecon to visit some family, but overall we had a delicious meal and I'm sure my mother enjoyed it. Glad to know you could relax, as a good mother deserves!

Hmm, in that case the Thanksgiving trip sounds much better. And since you're spreading it out over 10 days, the crowds probably shouldn't even be that bad either. I wonder if they have Thanksgiving day decorations!

Never spent any holidays at WDW. I'm not sure if I'd ever spend an actual holiday at WDW, but I'd love to go during Christmas season, maybe in that first week in December (which is a real possibility). The prices should hopefully be low around then, but I don't think I'd ever be able to sacrifice a major holiday for WDW (especially with crowds).
ha ha! I've tried having that convo several times...she looks at me and says OH MOM THAT's GROSS! lol they also teach it in health so i'm sure she is covered on all sides LOL I can't handle any more of THOSE conversations....ha ha ha!

YES it IS that towel and it's huge!!! Big ole Mickey with the blue and white stripes...LOVE It! Testing it out at cumberland end of the month ...

90 today and BOO ME NO LIKEY EITHER! LOL Linds has chorus concert tonight..of course the boyfriend is going (good thing I like him lol) - i'll have to meet her there after weight watchers...I need to keep in those meetings...they keep me on track. This is my 2nd week back so need to stay on target :)
Thank you! This week has been terriblly hectic (though not too bad in of itself). The big thing was the car, though that was less for me but rather for the whole family. Besides that, I got some good books (including a compilation of John Steinbeck works I had been eyeing) and the EPCOT Explorer's Encyclopedia, which looks interesting. I see your birthday is coming right up! :)

LOL We tend to over-plan our vacations in advance, too. In 2004 we were on the bus from Downtown Disney when we decided to go to WDW the year after (in November). We're also looking at a 2012 Disneyland trip (when all of the new rides are open), though we may combine that with a trip to Monterey. Needless to say, I'm excited!

I hope the dates work out for you as well. Would you ever forgo a major family holiday for a WDW trip?
I am and Happy Mom's Day to you too but I said that already LOL Glad you had a wonderful dinner. I've never eaten at Capo's..I hear wonderful things about it all the time. I guess I need to break down and try it! Reese's Cheesecake? Can that just be dinner? ha ha!

For Mom's day I got a big Mickey Mouse beach towel (YIPPEE!!) and a $25 gift card towards my trip along with some Weight Watchers goodies so I'm psyched! I LOVE my towel and the fact that I have a Disney Store bag with Mickey on one side and Minnie on the other makes it just that much better :)

Sandy actually took Lindsay, her boyfriend (HELP! LOL) Austin and Lindsay's BFF to the Mall yesterday...she's a brave soul!

    Looks like a HOT week...upper 80's all week...ick lol
Hi there...wrote a few days ago! You are either still sick, taking care of hubby being sick or just plain busy! lol Just stopped by to say I hope you have a WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY! XX
Sorry I've been gone for so long...my birthday was on the third and I hadn't turned my computer on since then.

I really want to find a creative way to get a picture of Cinderella Castle, let me know if you have any ideas! Being one of teh world's most photographed landmarks, there's got to be a cool way to capture it!

LOL Hey if the kids agree, go with it (and the husband, at that!) Teppan Edo looks great, the whole Japan pavilion is absolutely beautiful.

I've roamed that AKL, and it's really very cool. There's something cool to find at every corner. Even though I've stayed there, I really want to check out the Poly again. It's just so beautiful, and the torches are such a nice touch.
ha ha Linds had her field day today! LOL she'll come quite wiped out I'm sure :) that's a good thing...and you are right. School flew by this year! Are you going anywhere for Memorial Day? I'm taking Lindsay to St. Mary's (Cumberland Island - horses!!! LOL) for her 13th birthday. We leave the a.m. of 5/27 and come home Monday afternoon..can't wait!

No kissing? is that legal? you are married you know lol could be just a bug being passed around but who knows..there is so much junk going around these days I can't keep track of it!

Buy my airtran tickets tomorrow a.m. - I'm psyched! have to wait till i get here (work) though because I need the printer LOL

any special plans for this weekend? it's Mother's Day - I hope you have a great one!!
ha ha I knew you'd say that about the Disney stuff..I was testing you LOL

Teppan Edo - I LOVEEEEE that place! It's noisy as hell but who cares...that is part of its ambiance!! The table chefs are wonderful and have great personalities and nothing better then seeing your food cooked right in front of you :-) ALSO usually right prior to dinner Myuki (the candy lady!) does a show..you have to check the times guide but she is GREAT! AWESOME! Spectacular ha! She actually picked Linds out of a crowd 3 years ago, Lindsay asked her to make a blue bird and she did! She can make pretty much anything out of the sugar candy....we still have it in the freezer (just not whole anymore LOL) But Linds guarded that thing forever....

I'm scared about the flying AND the DME but I figured I'll just ask when I start going in circles LOL
First so sorry you had a bout of food poisoning..that is baddd but luckily it went away quick. Most people I know have it bad for 2 to 3 days..you got lucky so yeah!

DME - have never experienced it and can't wait! I get to be hand carried ha ha ha!

How about a yard sale instead of lugging it to your mom's? Try that first to dump stuff and then if need be, do it at the flea market near your moms..most people want furniture items or wall hangings, lamps and such, office chairs or whatever....others want nicky nacky things LOL...it just depends on the person but try the yard sale..then gimme your address because I know you'll be getting rid of Disney stuff NOT!!! LOL
Another thing I'd suggest to do is avoid night pictures altogether. I've wasted a lot of time on pictures that just come out blurry, unless you turn your flash off and stabilize your camera as much as possible. Check out my blog if you're interested in seeing some of my shots.
No DoleWhip!? :O I surely hope you enjoy it. There's a nice seating area across the way in which you can relax and eat your DoleWhip. It's one of my favorite WDW places.

Never been to Teppan Edo, and I haven't really heard anything about it. You might want to check out the DisneyFoodBlog for more information. I'd strongly recommend Boma- but that's just my opinion. It's one of those things you have to do at least once.

Interesting shots? Hmm. I'd say take pictures of things that people don't usually take pictures of- like a lamp or a small detail. There's many areas of the Magic Kingdom that don't get pictures taken of them, which are the pictures I try to take. I also like trying unique things, like placing my camera on the ground and taking the picture from there, or taking a picture of a landmark but having a flower or such in front of it.
