without being too specific so i can keep my job... timekeeper has kept pretty busy since its open after alien closed down. no exact numbers but the crowds leaving are usually pretty big. who knows what the plans will be once stitch opens up. i am hoping that...
the country bears will be "closing" for their Christmas show. so it is not going to be the country bear jamboree until next year. when the holiday show starts, that is what SHOULD be listed on the maps...however should is the key word here.
LOL Foolish Mortal...
I work at Space Mountain...the rockets just...go up! When you get off they go through the part you see in the ride (technical term is the Lower Lift) and then back up to the top where you board. I hope I didnt just spoil the magic for you...if that isnt what you wanted...
Actually, when I give MY "Timekeeper/COP are Seasonal" spiels it's more of a 'yadda yadda yadda' then a 'blah blah blah'. And every now and then I'll throw in an arm shrug for good measure...just to ensure I have NO idea what's going on. :animwink:
it's always funny when people tell me how relaxing it is...it's never that relaxing for me. of course, that could be due to the fact that i am stuck walking the belt for 45 min to an hour at a time! no, the tta is a great ride. telling people to sit down, getting good exercise, and being up in...
sorry to any of you sneaky people, but i am very strict on the height thing. at space mountain, the lap bars only go down so far and an inch may make a difference. i play it safe and certainly dont want the blame if someone's kid got hurt cause they were too short. if the child is wearing...
wow. i figured there would be a strong reaction to this. okay, well if you all wanna tape then that's up to you...but please don't do it when i am there cause i was trained that there be no videotaping and now i am a trainer and will tell my trainees the same thing. i even spiel it before the...
yes i do work at cop. we ask in our spiel before each show that you please refrain from videotaping and flash photography. there are few shows that do not permit the use of video. cop, alien encounter...i am not sure about timekeeper but i wouldn't think it would either. disney enforces...
just some space mountain info for you all...
the ride only goes 27 mph. it does have the ability to go a bit slower depending on the weight of each train. the heavier it is, the faster it goes. but it has been 27 mph for as long as i can remember. when fed ex pulled its sponsorship, all of...
i just found this out a few days ago (and i've been there over a year!). when you get in line for buzz, the "story" of the attraction is unfolding. once inside, all guests are being 'shrunk' to toy size so they are able to fit in the xp 37 space cruisers. this is why, once you get up to the...
wow...there are way too many to count! a few that i can recall though:
~on space mtn, guests freaking out because their lapbar won't stay down. i always make an "uh oh" face and tell them that they had better hold on tight!
~at the tta, i was a greeter and a man came up with his park map and...
hey, not to sound too mean or anything...but now that we are all informed, let's sorta not talk about it anymore. it doesn't do any good to discuss it and think of us cast members who have to work everyday. i can't speak for others but i know that i would rather not hear any more about it...
wow...after reading everyone's wonderful and very sweet and caring replies, it really makes me appreciate my job even more. i think i would have the best day at work EVER if i ran into each of you who posted replies to this thread. i only wish that the rest of the general public was as kind as...
