I'll chime in with loving this trip report as well as your last one. I think my favorite part is how you and "your friend" always coordinate your outfits. And can we give your friend an alias? I suggest "Amanda."
On your next trip, you have to see the movie at "One Man's Dream." Talk about a tear-jerker. It's the only attraction that has caused me to shed a tear. It really drives home the point of why we're all actually there. You will love it.
I totally enjoyed your trip report. I just wanted to let you know that reading it inspired me to set a weight loss goal. Reading about you and your husband celebrating your accomplishments was the push I needed. I've lost nine pounds since mid-June and looking to lose another twenty. I thought...
But in Ron's situation, the only way he can share his photos with his mother are by sending them to her or sharing them with her on his once a year visit.
I would think it would be very difficult for grandparents and grandkids to feel "connected" only seeing each other once a year. If Grandma...
Can I get your professional opinion, Professor Scott? My daughter is a junior in high school, straight As and very motivated. She's also an artist and would like to major in Animation. Would this be be a waste of time and money or do I support her dream?
I hope all the narcissists that post trip reports aren't reading this! (That was sarcasm.) I love looking at strangers' pictures from their WDW vacations. I don't think I've ever even posted a comment on a trip report by fractal or sweetpee or hollybelle, but I'd recognize their families in an...
I'm pretty sure that there isn't any music in the exhibit. There's audio with some of the videos. The Colleen Moore Fairy Castle is undergoing a refurb, but all the little pieces are in display cases. I think I saw that Mickey and Minnie picture.
If you happen to go on one of these horribly...
My sixteen year old daughter and I went to the exhibit on MLK Jr. Day. It was a free day at the museum and a holiday, so it was crowded. Just like WDW. Actually, it was very manageable. If there was something I wanted to get up closer to see or read, I only needed to wait about a minute for...
I love your South Dakota pics! I know for most people in the US, SD is a real pain to get to, but what a great place to visit. Mt. Rushmore is really a place that all Americans should have the opportunity to experience and the Badlands are just cool to see. I see your daughter is wearing a...
My brush with a celebrity: seeing Tom Cruise and Suri at the MK around 1 a.m. on the carrousel in August 2012. This picture is evidence of why I will never make a living as a paparazza or write a trip report.
I like your plans! So detailed! My advice: I haven't been to BOG yet, but it seems like you should really try to get there for lunch. You'll have plenty of time to do everything else at MK. I don't do the scary coasters at Universal/IofA, but please consider going on the Mummy ride. I really...
I took my three teens to DC for spring break. DC requires at least as much planning as WDW. The one thing that reminded me of Disney was the food prices at the Smithsonians. It's free to get in, but you'll pay Disney prices for lunch!
I just want to give proper credits on those lyrics. This was taken from a 1997 column by Pulitzer prize winning columnist from the Chicago Tribune, Mary Schmich.
I got to see the other Scientologist with Suri when I was at MK last August. After staring at him for about five minutes while he was going around on the carrousel, he waved at me. I was so embarrassed! He was very friendly and gracious with us commoners!
