  • I'm happy you had such a wonderful weekend! :sohappy: Nothing better than taking a trip that goes smoothly and is relaxing and enjoyable. It makes everyday life more bearable, you know?

I have good things to report - I finally felt, not just normal, but good over the weekend! I've been catching up on my sleep and haven't had any headaches, stomach aches or problems stemming from my kidney stone! So, Yay! :sohappy:

I ordered Crocs for the guys online Sun. I decided to get mine at the store so that I could try them on and make sure they fit. My feet are really wide so it's hard to find shoes. I know the ones I want but I need to see how they look and fit first. One reason is because if you order online you cannot return to the store, you have to mail them back and I didn't want to have to bother. So, a few more things crossed off my list! :sohappy:

I asked the pharmacist last night about ibuprofen and she said to take it after eating food but I have to tell you my stomach hurt so bad I just decided to not take it at all and just stick with acetaminophen. I'll also try the naproxin like you suggested. My health in recent weeks has just been crappy. I just want to feel good. Although the reason I was at the drug store last night at 10:30 was because my kidney stone flared up again! After my first day of no headache or stomach ache.

Tristan is looking forward to high school. I'm glad, too, I think he likes the idea of picking more classes of his choice.

I'm glad for summer. I'm hoping I can recoup some, especially before Disney. I think the only stuff left I have to get for the trip is Crocs for everyone. I think I'm going to order them online rather than go to the store. It'll be exciting to get the package in the mail! (Yes, I am a goober!)
There have been so many devastating disasters lately all over the place. I should remember to be thankful for what we do have and not worry about what we don't have. We have the most important things - family, our health and great, great friends (like you!) and the material stuff in the end doesn't matter. You can't take it with you after all, right? Although, somehow Disney doesn't fall into "material things" because it's someplace that brings my family closer and me - utter joy.

I haven't been depressed just feeling crappy lately but I think I finally figured out the culprit. I think I have suddenly become intolerable of ibuprofen. The last three times I've had to take it for a headache it has given me the most horrible stomach ache! And it lasts for hours. At first I wouldn't eat because I was in pain but I found yesterday that it goes away quicker if I do eat. Weird. I've been taking it for years.
I don't shop at Kroger as much as I used to only in emergency situations but it's possible.

I am looking forward to our dinner, too! We've never done Chef Mickey's dinner only the breakfast. As a matter of fact Tristan and Sean were a little bummed when I told them we weren't eating breakfast there again. I hope the dinner is as good as the breakfast.

They are only having the MNSSHP two days while we're there and one of them is when my dad and his gf will be with us and I'm not sure they'll want to do it and I don't want to leave them on their own the first nite they arrive. The 2nd nite they are holding it I already had our plans set out (taking advantage of evening EMH) and I don't want to change them. I haven't asked my dad yet though so like I said, it's not totally dead. We'll see......
I need to feel better cause I've got a busy few days ahead. Today a birthday get together, then pick up stuff at WM. Tomorrow both kids have award ceremonies (Sean in the morning and Tristan at night). Tue. I volunteered to help with the end of the year celebration in his class but it's all over Wed. Maybe then I'll have a good chance to recoup.

I don't think we're going to do the Halloween party at WDW. Did I already tell you that? I'm kinds bummed but it's ok. It'll give us something to try in the future. It's not totally dead but we'll see.

Hope you're having a better weekend than me!!
I was looking at your photos on FB but they don't come up like they used to for some reason so I couldn't comment on them. I'm glad I found you though! Now, let me ask you - did I look anything like you thought I would? LOL...

I have been in poor health lately and it stinks. Had a headache all day on Fri. then had a stomach ache that kept me awake ALL nite that nite. Fell asleep 7-8 am then had to take Sean to his last game then shop for some gifts. I took a nap for a couple of hours then felt better but my stomach just felt weird all day. Then last nite my nose started running like water which made it hard to sleep again. Today my stomach finally feels ok but now I have a cold. WTH?!?
Is Lindsey looking forward to school getting out? Tristan and Sean sure are. I don't know if I am, LMAO.....

When we go to AL I stay with my aunt and the kids stay with my mom in order for me to keep my sanity. My aunt is the person I'm closest to in the family, we are a lot alike and can talk about almost anything. I enjoy spending time with her the most.

I'm on FB under Tomi Salinas Neuendorff. Hey you can finally see a photo of me! LOL....

Are you still doing Weight Watchers? Where do you go for the meetings?
Your island trip sure is close now, no wonder you're getting excited about it. We will be going to AL to visit my mom and aunt June 1st, and it will be nice to get away.

Well, even if I could work at Macy's I wouldn't. I did not like it there. I did like the discount but I spent most of my paychecks there or close to it, anyway. I had the idea that if I worked anywhere the only 2 places I would consider for the summer are the Disney Store (shocking.) and the Crocs store. I put my app in at the Crocs store but never heard anything. So it looks like I'll be staying home and driving my kids crazy. (Paybacks, ya know?)
Wow, that's nice of your co-worker to get you something! And every little bit helps that's for sure. We should be paid off next month! Talk about letting out a huge sigh of relief.

I'm not sure we'll be able to go to the Halloween party on this trip. On the two dates the party is being held one day is when my dad and his gf arrive and I don't think they are going to want to go (still have to ask) and the other day is plans I really do not want to change. So, we'll have to see. Like I said, I still need to ask them if they want to go. If they don't I don't want to leave them by themselves the first night they are there.

Well, Tristan had a lot of fun at his dance and I think he was really happy he went. He looked so handsome and so grown up!! He got black pants (even though they were all black they still had a stripe in them), black dress shirt and a black/red/white stripe tie and he picked it all out himself!
I just found out last night that Tristan's 8th grade dance is this Friday! And when I asked him if his friends were going I got the usual - "I don't know." So he's getting his ticket today and on the way to driving him to school I told him, "You know just cause it's called a dance doesn't mean you HAVE to dance." He goes, "Oh thank god." and let out a sigh of relief! That's the reason he didn't want to go! And Lee said I should just drop it! I'm so glad I didn't. So, I'm going to get him a shirt and tie on Thurs. He'll look so handsome!

Oooh, I've seen that towel - I love it! It's so cute and colorful.

I had a dream about going to WDW last night. Probably because I was reading my Passporter again. But naturally since it was a dream it looked nothing like the real WDW and we were only shopping.
Now though, I KNOW he knows what it's all about. Thank goodness that's all over with. Well, sort of, LMAO.....:ROFLOL:
I know, I saw the weather and it's almost up to 90 today. Booooo! Me no likey.

I'm glad to hear you had a great Mother's Day and what awesome gifts you got!! Did you get the MM towel that has big stripes on it? I can't remember if the stripes are blue/white or red/white on the towel I'm thinking of.

Just be nosy, nosy when it comes to Lindsay and her boyfriend. Every now and then I'll ask Tristan if he has a gf and he says no. He's so shy, sometimes I wonder if he'll have a gf any time soon, lol.

Speaking of girl/boy stuff, Sean finally read a book we have about s-e-x. Years ago I gave it to Tristan to read and afterwards felt guilty so I read it to him. OMG, I felt my face getting hot as I read it, it was so detailed!! And with cartoon drawings!! I was mortified but glad I did it. This time however, I didn't feel that way so I didn't read it to Sean!
Happy Mother's Day!!I hope you having a fantastic day and doing something special whether it's eating out or staying in your jammies all day long!! :sohappy:

We went to dinner last night to Capo's. Have you ever eaten there? I had fettucini alfredo w/ grilled chicken. OMG, it was amazing! Then had Reese's Cheesecake. Also yummy. Couldn't finish either so I had the cheesecake for breakfast (!) and the pasta for lunch. So far, it's been a very good Mother's Day, LOL.

Went to the mall yesterday cause I had coupons for Macy's. Ended up getting Sean shorts and tee, Lee and Tristan each got socks and I got nothing! But later on I got earrings and a matching bracelet at Kohl's cause I had a coupon for there too. And then, dang it! They gave me another coupon and I'll have to go back and use that one! That's for real because that one is $10 off $10 or more purchase.
Oh I'm so glad to hear you've been to Teppan Edo and have rave reviews!!! :sohappy: I think the kids are truly going to enjoy dinner and a "show". Lee and I went to a place like that years and years ago (Tristan was a baby!) so it will be fun for all of us to experience it. I'll be sure to look for the candy lady, that sounds beyond cool.

You'll be okay. We fly about once or twice a year and it's not bad, I don't find it difficult or confusing, unless you're late and in a mad rush! Anyway, I have a feeling WDW will definitely make it as easy as possible for you. You'll be able to tell us all about it at dinner.

Well, maybe I didn't have food poisoning cause whatever I had Lee has now and he came home from work early today. Now his is under strict instructions to NOT kiss me! I do not want that back. :zipit:

Can you believe there are only,15 days left of school? And Sean has field day tomorrow, so he only has 14! :D
Our neighborhood only has two garage sales a year and I either A. forget about the dates cause I don't write them down or B. when I do know the dates we have been away for those weekends.

Get rid of Disney stuff?!? NEVER! Even if the kids wanted to get rid of stuff, I'd probably keep it! LOL.....

You'll have to tell me all about the DME, I can't wait to hear how it is. I don't know if we'll get to use it, but you know what they say - never say never.

Well, I made a change in our dining. Switched out Teppan Edo for Boma on the nite we arrive. First, we'll already be in Epcot and second, Lee, Tristan and Sean all said they'd rather eat there. I was suprised Lee said that because I thought he'd say, "I don't care, whatever you want." but when I texted him about which one he sent back, "Japanese!" So, that was that.
Wow! That's an awesome deal on your ticket! I'm really glad you were able to find it. I think you'll like flying better than driving, especially since you can take the Magical Express to/from the airport. Another WDW thing to experience!

I am not having a good spring. Sunday night I think I had a touch of food poisoning! It was terrible but the good news is I was over it by the time I went to work yesterday. Though I had a headache instead, lol. Today I feel fine, YAY!

Have you ever sold stuff on ebay? We might take some stuff to a flea market when we go visit my mom over the summer. We just have too much junk. Way too much. Time to get rid of stuff and maybe make a little bit of money, especially since I won't have money coming in over the summer.
LOL, we haven't seen the AI show at HS yet! I want to see it this time around though.

I wondered myself why they don't stay on property. But when I looked at their schedule I think they stay about 30 min. away from WDW and that's probably cheaper than the onsite hotels.

Tristan came home today and said he had a blast! I'm so happy he got to go on this trip. I told Sean he'll be able to go too but he'll have to take band or orchestra to be able to.

Went to the dr. today and found out the stone actually moved backwards a bit! WTH?!? So, I decided to let it pass and if it doesn't by June then I'll have it blasted in July before school (and our vacation!).
They are staying off property (!) at a hotel nicknamed "The Castle" and all the teachers said it's really nice. I do think it's a Holiday Inn though.

I also told Tristan he was "forbidden" on going on Star Tours since it's newly refurbished with an updated story/movie, LOL!

You know what's good on ham steaks? I glazed some not too long ago with maple syrup. I should've cooked it a bit longer so the glaze was thicker but it was tasty. Everyone liked it.

I don't watch DWTS but I check out who gets voted off. Who are you rooting for to win? For the first time in a number of seasons I'm watching American Idol. Do you watch that?
Ooh, I love Smithfield hams! I never thought there was a difference between hams but there is and they make the best. I think they're not as salty as others. As long as you eat all the meat then it's worth it. The egg salad was good though!

I will need some shoes and I haven't figured out if I need any clothes yet. I'll get to it eventually.

Well, Tristan leaves tonite for WDW with his orchestra class. We have to be at the school by 11:45 pm. He's excited. I keep telling him he needs to get his picture taken with Mulan and ALL the princesses! LOL....
