We love the AKL as we spent our honeymoon there. I love just sitting and watching the animals roaming. We're also fans of Old Key West - there's just something about the 'Florida' feel of the Resort - it's laid back and just a nice place to hang out.

We made a trip out mid to end of May 2007 - it was hot and there were LOTS of May Bugs around. Pesky things were a complete pain. Just one thing to bear in mind :)

I'd call and ask but I think you can get a credit for the birthday ticket and then upgrade using it towards the full cost of an AP. Just one note - first you can do ticket upgrades at DTD at Guest Relations there. Second - wherever you upgrade make sure they put the right date on your AP. It...

We're booked into Kidani Village for our first AKV stay this December. To be honest I don't care if the garage isn't themed - I'm only going to park there. I am interested in the free valet parking though - is that a DVC perk or a concierge one?

Wow! What a fab surprise! I agree she needs time to pack and get her head around it all :) Check your travel insurance as some have a time limit on pregnant travel.
