Public health measures have not and never will be implemented to prevent "long COVID." It's just not going to happen. As soon as hospitalizations are fully decoupled from cases, it's over. We can sit here and debate it all we like. In reality, if people aren't being hospitalized at a high rate with COVID, there will be no capacity limits, there will be no distancing, there will be no masks (we're already there).
With no way to enforce it with the police department and county supervisor publicly speaking out against it; because there is nothing to support masking vaccinated people.
No one wants to believe the CDC anymore because they aren't supporting their pro-mask and pro-lockdown agenda anymore. Funny how the "trust the science" crowd doesn't want to believe the experts anymore. LA County is shining example of stupidity by forcing vaccinated people to wear masks again when the experts said its not needed. We are so screwed.
Many people are also hesitant about a new vaccine. When they see more and more people taking them and not having any scary side effects they will be more likely to consider getting one.
And local officials in Orlando, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles are saying the opposite.
When all have an opportunity to be post-vaccination, I agree with this.
Los Angeles has no way to enforce their mask mandate. Police will not write citations for them.

I follow the science. If you're vaccinated you don't have to wear a mask. The problem is that since no one wants to do the work to make sure those not vaccinated to wear a mask, then the answer is everyone has to wear one. It's really the only reason where I live they haven't dropped masks yet. They will when we hit 80% first dose and 70% fully vaccinated.
I don’t need this quoted to me again. I was sharing my personal view only, and as the parent of a child who is literally 1 of 300 in the entire world, such impacts being “low” or “rare” is not a comfort.
Why not? If it’s necessary then do it! If not, then there’s no need!
I trust the science. I also trust the CDC.I also trust the experts. So if you mean some people, possibly. We can’t all be lumped in together.

Realizing I wrote mine poorly - one of 300, not 1 in 300. Only 300 people total ever diagnosed with her disorder, so there’s really no way to know how this will impact her.
Wrong. I refuse to be punished for another year with "restrictions" because I got the vaccine.
But we're continuing to make it easy for the unvaccinated. The vaccinated continue to bear the weight of this pandemic and the unvaccinated go freely about their lives. That's the issue.
The good guys always get punished and it frankly disgusts me so many are happily supportive of punishing people like us who did the right thing.
