working out for Disney

Or when you return something by post that was defective and once they receive it, you get an email saying it will take 5-7 business days for your return to appear in your account. Seriously? Try harder.

I'm just bitter because the cheapest flight was an additional $150 and then there were only 4 seats left on that aircraft in the exit row and those were $76 a pop x3. We did a pre-pay discount (non-refundable) on the hotel room, so we're paying for a night we're not using. Either my husband or myself are going to call Marriott and explain what has happened--it's been all over the news, so maybe they'll refund the final night. My husband is a regular Marriott customer, so maybe they can make something happen for him.

I am sure AA has been overselling these flights, too. So I am hoping since we paid for three exit rows will make it less likely we will get bumped.
Yeah, that overselling and then bumping people shouldn't be legal. It's a contract...you take money from people for the service, you should provide the service. I can't just not show up and get a refund, so why can THEY force you out?

As for ordering stuff, I ordered a kindle paperwhite in the Prime day sales and it was supposed to get here Monday night, but it didn't. It was one of those "Order before this time and get it delivered by that time". Well, it was late. And when it DID come last night while I was at work, they packaged it in one of those cardboard envelopes with no padding, and they put it through the mail slot! It's an expensive electronic device that is NOT supposed to be dropped! Not that the delivery person can tell what's in the package, but shouldn't the people doing the packaging know better than to package it with no padding and something where it will get dropped several feet onto a hard surface?? I opened the outer package and it looks ok, but haven't opened the kindle packaging itself, so I will video that. I took pictures of the packaging. If there's anything wrong with it, I have proof that I wasn't the one who dropped it, it was like that when I got it.

I feel really exhausted today. Work took a toll on me last night, I guess. I took a nap this morning (and corrected grammar in my sleep. I woke up to a program about people moving abroad and starting businesses, and I had dreamed about a trial run of a bed and breakfast somewhere where people had shown up "with their already trunks packed" and I was correcting the grammar. "It should be either 'their trunks already packed, or their already-packed trunks.'" No idea if the tv show actually got it wrong, but I dreamed about correcting it and when I woke up, it was obviously from that program, so who knows. But I found it amusing that I do that in my sleep.) I still feel kind of worn out, so I may or may not get a walk in today. I'm making rendeng for dinner and it has to simmer for a couple of hours, and I have to stir every 15 minutes, which means I won't be able to leave the house, so I may not have time anyway.

Wow, I can't believe they just sent it in unpadded envelope. That's really bad. I wonder why someone would think that's an appropriate way to ship a tablet? I thought our Prime Days sucked this year.

My husband used to order these crackers from England through Amazon. They just sent them in a box, unpadded. They were dust when they got here. He contacted the seller and they said food is non-returnable. So, he called Amazon and told them they were not packed correctly. He got a refund, but he never ordered from that seller again.

I did mine on Friday. I wore sandals on Saturday and no way I was waiting for an appointment. I even fixed my broken nail(don't ask how I managed to drop something on my toe again) Dh is on days this week so I'm able to break my schedule up more to my liking:joyfull: I can do yoga in the morning and get my steps in later because I don't have to worry about waking anybody up. I even got my sewing area cleaned out(boys like to just dump stuff there), mix up a batch of bath salts, conquer Mount Laundry and enjoy my blueberry coffee
My eye brows are a mess, too. These ladies have their work cut out for them. I fully expect to hear them talk smack about my feet in Vietnamese. :hilarious:

Hello

I did an hour of yoga this morning and then I went out for a walk. It's sunny, mid 70s here and the air has dried out, so it feels gorgeous outside.

My fridge arrives tomorrow. 🥳 Ironically, I opened my fridge to dispose of the condiments, etc and it was cold again. But it's really time for a new fridge. I didn't want a repair person to come in and tell me it was going to be a wait for parts or that it was going to be expensive to fix. I'd rather have the peace of mind of a new fridge. This one's been acting wonky for a while anyway.

This was the first year I've been able to be a member of prime because the Netherlands didn't have an Amazon site before. Then at Christmas, a friend of mine in the UK said she was sending me something via the Amazon site, and she was so glad the Netherlands had their own site since packages weren't going internationally with the corona virus. I didn't know we had our own site...it was brand new. So I joined prime, but I have to say the prime day deals didn't interest me, other than the kindle. It was good timing. I just did all the research on ereaders and asked people's advice and looked up the differences between different brands and models and had decided I wanted the paperwhite, but it was a bit expensive and I couldn't justify it yet. Then a week later, it's on sale for about 30% off, so I jumped on that, but looked through all the other stuff and nothing appealed.

I work in a warehouse for an online children's clothing store, I know how busy it can get, etc, but there are rules and I'm wondering why electronic devices aren't automatically packed in a box that WON'T fit through the mail slot, and also labeled with a sticker that says "fragile". Yes, it's a small, lightweight device, but that doesn't mean it won't break when dropped on a hard surface. Dropping something like that usually voids the warranty. I'm wondering if I should just send them an email to let them know it wasn't packaged properly just in case it doesn't work right? I don't know.

How do you fix a broken nail? I've got one toenail that's growing out, but it's not there yet. I dropped something on my toe months ago and it must have broken the nail under the skin because it wasn't until it grew out a little bit that I noticed a tiny hole by the cuticle. Then a few weeks later, it was completely loose on one side. I just trimmed it again as it's growing out, but it still looks weird. At least it doesn't hurt.

Better to have one you know works. Our microwave started acting up about a year or so ago and I told my husband we needed a new one. Then it started working again, so we didn't bother. Then it died on us right around Christmas, I think? All the stores were closed because of corona, so we couldn't go shopping for a new one and had to just hope the one we chose online was ok. We're really happy with it, so we made a good choice, but the timing was just rotten. I wish we'd replaced it when it started acting up.

It was just the free edge that was broken so I I did a hard gel extension, Gel is like an acrylic nail except a bit more waterproof.

I took another rest day yesterday because I felt pretty awful. My head hurt, my body ached, I had no energy. I'm wondering if it was a late reaction to the vaccination? I even had my husband go to the grocery store for milk because I just didn't feel up to going. But I went to bed early and also took a nap this morning and now I feel much better.

I bought 4 biodegradable facial sponges for less than what I pay for one and two tubes of mascara. I rarely wore make up since this pandemic began and I've been replacing things that are well past their prime.

I think it's a great idea to document and report how you received your paper white to Amazon. Maybe it works today, but what if gives you issues in 2-3 weeks? If you report it, they'll like make a note about it and will expedite getting a replacement.

Hello-

I am in with an hour of yoga. I haven't done this specific practice in maybe three years. I don't remember it being this hard! I think I just need to build up my upper body strength and over all muscular endurance. I've been doing different types of workout for the past 7-8 months that really didn't work on those aspects.

I am waiting for it to warm up a little bit more before I go out for my summer stroll.

One week from today is my trip home for 2 days. I am hoping American doesn't cancel my flight (and good flying weather both ways). 🤞☘️

I don't think that was it. This didn't feel like normal exhaustion, and I had just taken a rest day. I don't go out for walks on days that I have to work, specifically to avoid overdoing it. I don't think 10,000 steps per day is unrealistic, especially since I don't do a lot of other stuff because I can't with my hip. And since I've heard several people say that they had a delayed reaction a few days after the shot, it seems pretty plausible that I did, too. I felt much better yesterday and got through work no problem.

Good luck with the flights! I hope they don't change anything on you again. It's so frustrating when they do that!

Glad you felt a bit better yesterday. I think part of the exhaustion was due to the high heat temperatures you've been going through over there, particularly in the work building.

This week has actually been a LOT better. It's still hot at work, but the outside temps have been in the 60s this week. Last week was miserable, then this week has been nice. I even had to wear sweatshirts, which was sooooo nice. I love sweatshirt weather!! Today is the warmest day of the week and we're barely supposed to break 70. Most people are upset about that, but I'm loving it!
