Good morning and Happy Father's Day!

I did a workout this AM that was classified as a HIIT workout, but it was really just an interval workout. But I liked it none the less.

My refrigerator broke last night, so we were scrambling to get everything into the 2 dorm fridges we have. I am so glad we had them, since I got my groceries yesterday, including steaks for tonight's dinner. I made lemon curd yesterday, but that didn't seem to find its way into a small fridge. I made it yesterday for the cheesecake I made for my husband this AM. Now, we're looking online at fridges to go check them out later. Some stuff is going to have to be thrown out, though. Oh, well.

I am hoping to get out for a walk before it gets too hot.
Good luck finding a fridge! The was a lot of chatter in the premium lounge and elsewhere about LGs having problems. I'm hearing nice things about Samsung, we've ordered directly from their site before (not fridge) but they seem to have good reviews. All the box stores are having sales this weekend

We're actually looking on line at Samsung at Costco. I think I'm just going to order it and get it delivered. It's the same capacity as my current fridge. Will it store my food? Yes. Will it keep my food at a safe temp? Yes. I don't see why I need to go to Costco to look at it. Besides, they might not even have this fridge at my local warehouse to look at.

I will never buy anything LG again. My husband bought an LG flatscreen TV about year ago. A week outside of the one year warranty, the screen went wonky on one side, then it stopped working. It was toast. My husband called LG and they told my husband the TV was out of warranty. I mean, it was, but a week out of it. Such a hardline to take. They lost any future business from us and we didn't even consider LG for a fridge.

If you're looking seriously at Samsung check their site directly they may have a better price and we've had good luck with delivery both TVs and phones

I had to take it easy yesterday. I got my steps in, but I had to take it really slowly. I think the 2nd shot gave me some joint pain, so my hip was barking at me and I had to be really careful how I stepped. Today seems better, but we were at my in-laws' for fathers day, so I had to get my walk in this morning before we left, which meant I couldn't really take too long. So I barely got my 10,000 steps in. I actually had to walk around the block once when we got home from my in-laws' house to get to 10,000.

I had the same issues after my second shot. I injured my sciatic nerve last year, then again early this year. The second shot flared up my sciatic nerve like mad. I couldn't get comfortable in bed to sleep. It's weird how it flares up certain issues. You had steroid shots for your hip, didn't you? I swear I remember you having shots for your hip.

@Sans Souci , I thought of you this morning when I read the (attached below) article. If you're still interested in pursuing a FA career, it looks like American is scrambling for more employees (I imagine in all job fields).

I did have shots for it. It was several years ago, but yes, I did. And for the most part now, I do pretty well with my hip. Very few flare ups now, so it didn't really connect with the first shot that the flare up was related to the vaccination, but when it happened again this time, I realized it was probably a side effect.

I guess I'm taking a rest day. It's been raining all night and all morning, and it isn't showing any signs of letting up, so I can't go out. But I really don't feel like a LS walk today, and I haven't had a rest day in 2 weeks, so I think someone is trying to tell me something.

I don't think we've ever seen any of our refrigerators in person before ordering. Hopefully, you're able to get it quickly. When our fridge died in our last home, we were able to get a replacement next day, but our current fridge took about a month and a half since it wasn't at any local warehouses...and of course, it was an odd size.

My friend recently replaced an LG tv. He had purchased an extended warranty through Sams on it (something I almost never do) and I think he got a Samsung as a replacement. I have an LG that I got as a gift from work, but it's the tv that gets next to no use. It hangs in our dining room and only gets used when we eat in there...which isn't often.

Well, I didn't work out once over the weekend. I need to find the energy to get back at it today, but we're exhausted. So hopefully, lugging the camera around all weekend and taking pics counted for something. It was around 95-96 each day, mornings were ridiculously humid, and we didn't get much in the way of game breaks, so hotel time was downtime. We at least got a nice sunset from the parking garage on the first night, got in a little bit of pool time, and kicked back each night with some drinks in the room. We also had a great view of Kyle Field (Texas A&M) from our room. I also had one night where my nav directed me through campus for the scenic route. Seriously thinking about napping during lunch so I have more energy after work for some kind of exercise.

Thanks. I have been keeping my eyes peeled, but also wondering if I want to deal with the flying public right now. Air rage is at record highs and I really don't want to be at the end of someone's fist because I asked them to follow the rules that were in place (and notified about) when they decided to purchase the tickets.

Yes, I think the universe is trying to tell you something. ;) Glad you took a rest day.

I was thinking about how this was our second fridge purchase ever. This fridge was in the house when we bought it in 2016. But prior to that we bought one online back in Illinois. I honestly don't need a fridge to do anything other than keep my food at the correct temps.

Hello-

I tried to do an hour of yoga and it felt better for the most part. I may or may not do it again tomorrow. I am thinking easing in with 2-3 days this week is more sensible. Nothing hurts and I made sure to listen to my body and modify poses when needed. I also got out for a walk before the heat advisory kicked in.

My fridge is arriving on Thursday. My current one actually works, but the food was at 55F and that is unsafe. Honestly, I am glad it is the fridge and not the freezer. I was able to save 90% of my food. Some stuff will have to be purchased again, but it's things like condiments and marmalades. So, it's not a major loss and they are things we can go without for a few days.

I am going in for a pedicure on Friday. I haven't had one since before the pandemic. Someone has their work cut out for them on Friday. :hilarious:

That's a really good point. I don't blame you, and maybe this is part of the reason why they're not getting more job recruits -- in this volatile atmosphere.

We have flights on AA to return from visiting my family and my husband just happened to look at our flights. Our flights were changed to a time that doesn't work for us. My husband called AA and he was offered a number of appointments for them to call back. The earliest was Thursday night. He wanted to speak to a human and he was told the wait time was greater than 4 hours. He went on the website and for us to change flights would cost $250 more+plus the cost of choosing our seat-for a mess of their own making. I'm not buying their story--other airlines aren't having issues. I think they ramped up operations without having the personnel, thinking everyone would (or could) come back to work. A lot of these people were furloughed, so I am sure they moved on to other employment.

Good morning ☀️

It's me again, but less crabby and frustrated. I did an hour of yoga this morning. I am getting out for a walk between the rain showers. I have had to cut my visit to my gram a day short. The flights for our original day of departure were too expensive to change, this was the less expensive option. I'm kind bummed because I haven't seen my gram since Thanksgiving 2019 and this trip was only three days. Ah, well, enough about that.

I hate that about airlines and banks. With airlines, THEY can change your flight without giving you any sort of refund or anything, but if YOU change something you have to pay big bucks. With banks, they won't credit your account when you deposit money, but they'll take it out! Shouldn't it be an automatic thing? Why can it register money being taken out, but not going in? It just seems really unethical to me.

Or when you return something by post that was defective and once they receive it, you get an email saying it will take 5-7 business days for your return to appear in your account. Seriously? Try harder.

I'm just bitter because the cheapest flight was an additional $150 and then there were only 4 seats left on that aircraft in the exit row and those were $76 a pop x3. We did a pre-pay discount (non-refundable) on the hotel room, so we're paying for a night we're not using. Either my husband or myself are going to call Marriott and explain what has happened--it's been all over the news, so maybe they'll refund the final night. My husband is a regular Marriott customer, so maybe they can make something happen for him.

I am sure AA has been overselling these flights, too. So I am hoping since we paid for three exit rows will make it less likely we will get bumped.

I did mine on Friday. I wore sandals on Saturday and no way I was waiting for an appointment. I even fixed my broken nail(don't ask how I managed to drop something on my toe again) Dh is on days this week so I'm able to break my schedule up more to my liking:joyfull: I can do yoga in the morning and get my steps in later because I don't have to worry about waking anybody up. I even got my sewing area cleaned out(boys like to just dump stuff there), mix up a batch of bath salts, conquer Mount Laundry and enjoy my blueberry coffee
