lol - yes! We feel "alive" again as we may be able to open up our lives a bit more after the vaccine.
Masks primarily protect others from the wearer, not the wearer from others. If you choose not to wear a mask when among other people, you are endangering them more than you are yourself. Likewise, when people around you wear masks, they are doing more to help you than to help themselves.
Just amazing that we're still having to explain this very basic concept.
No one said that about brushing teeth. One person made a quip because of the comment I made about how a clean mask does not cause throat infections so they need to find out why. The other poster was the one who said teeth brushing and stuff getting all offended because we were picking on UK teeth or some level that I do not understand. Mouthwash is to kill bacteria not to say one has poor hygiene. However if one gets infections that much there is a problem doctors need to look at. Unclean masks can (and no it doesn't mean you are filthy). Using a certain mouthwash is indeed a suggestion for those with them (again not poor hygiene just unlucky). An over growth of other bacteria can cause issues. Even reinfection due to not switching a toothbrush can like in the case of strep. Lots of causes that have little to do with brushing teeth. None due to proper mask wearing.
I thought cat and dog tended to be worse because they are typically deeper puncture wounds than a human bite, so more likely to get into the bloodstream and more difficult to clean the wound. (At least, that's what I was told when we I got bit by a cat and the vet sent me straight to the urgent care.)
But there already is some precedent in the govt knowing about one's vaccination history, as children have to provide vaccination records (or reason for lack thereof) in order to go to public school.

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled mask discussion. My DD had a gymnastics competition, yesterday. Only 1 spectator per athlete, spectators and judges masked, athletes masked when not actively competing. So thoguh the girls took their masks off to perform, many kept them on while warming up. I think if someone can do high level gymnastics while wearing a mask, most of us shouldn't have a problem wearing one to buy groceries.
The caveat in my statement is "human bites that break the skin". Human bites are less likely to puncture than animal bites (we bite with less sharp incisor teeth, while dogs and cats use long, pointed canine teeth) but when the skin is violated, we must assume infection. We hope not, now that vaccination is picking up speed, but this virus has surprised us before.
The longer we don’t see evidence of one, the less likely there will be. If we continue to downtrend into March I would start betting on their not being one.
