Stay at home extended to May 8 for NC.

Our governor is having a press conference this afternoon.

I need to check on the policies and see whether you can just drive around. I can tell my brother is going completely stir crazy. I think maybe tomorrow we'll just go for a drive, listen to some music, etc. There's some pretty farms we can just drive past. He's been in this house more than I have; I can tell it's making him a little crazy.

I may have found a solution that doesn’t put my parents at risk.. fingers crossed!!!

One of my closest friends lives in KW. She’s been absolutely beside herself for over a month now. I think I mentioned this a while ago.. but she tried to go to Israel when all of this started. Her daughter was not allowed on the plane, due to American passport and travel restrictions (happened at the gate )

So, they went back home to KW.. now KW has announced longer closures.. she’s going crazy. Owns a business and almost went under after Irma. .. also, school is cancelled for the rest of the year, so I told her & her daughter to come here and ride this out with us. At least we’ll have each other and our kids will have each other.
We already talked about it a month ago, but that was me going there if I would be laid off or furloughed. That didn’t happen, so I said we do it in the reverse.

She’s thinking about it. I think the situation would be good for all of us. We’ll see!!!

Golfers may now golf (6 ft apart) but no golf cart rental), boaters may now get their boats out, greenhouses can now open, and yard services can now work too. She's trying to mandate face masks... but can't legally do so, so it's HIGHLY SUGGESTED, that everyone wear a cloth facemask (Not PPE so that people aren't taking away from the essentials) and businesses must supply their employee's with masks.

Boaters were not allowed out period, or just public marinas? Also, wow, I still can’t believe that lawn services weren’t allowed to operate.

Ok this just reminded of last night. T begged to be allowed to watch a live event on YouTube last night... Fortnite unveiled a new world, or new season, or new something.., and there was a Travis Scott “concert” in the game. I asked if he even knew who Travis Scott was, he said “No, but it looks awesome”. So, we watched it. Watched someone else in headphones and a gaming chair, telling us about what we were looking at, with our own eyes... and of course asking for “like, subscribe, donate”.

I have no idea how and why T enjoys something like that.
I should add that apparently he’s not the only one... there were over 6,000 people logged in to watch some guy on headphones and in the Fortnite game, to watch what anyone could have watched on their own. I made the mistake of saying “Wow, what a huge nerd fest” out loud, I thought I said it in my head, I swear.
T wasn’t thrilled with that comment.

I don’t know when it became a thing to play games and have people spectate, and make money from it.. and even more mind boggling is that kids get enjoyment out of watching someone else play.
I think I’m officially old and too many generational differences.lol

I think ours is until May 26 but looks similar to that. I thought I read that some of our legislators have a lawsuit over the length of our governor's order particularly over the length of it. It is the same legislators that thought it was a good idea to have an election in the midst of this.

My husband was very happy about the golf courses being open. He went golfing today to the course in which he is a member. He said it was nice to be out and people were keeping their distance except for the guy behind him that kept teeing off while my husband was still on the hole/fairway. I guess a couple times the ball landed near my husband. I told him he should have gotten rid of the guy's ball since he couldn't take the hint.
