I grew up in NY as you probably remember, and I remember hearing my family say NJ drivers were the worst. When I lived in NJ, we would say PA drivers were the worst. Well, now I am in PA. NY, NJ, and MD drivers are the worst!

But the original problem I have is some people judge NJ by looking at the area that surrounds Newark Liberty Airport.
That area and a few other urban pockets are such a small percentage of New Jersey....the Garden State
We have plenty of farms...lakes...rivers...plenty of natural beauty inland as well as along the ocean.
That's what I want people to know

Newark, Trenton, and Patterson, are what most think of when they think of NJ. That is true. We lived in a beautiful area near the Manasquan River. Dh and I would ride our bikes from Brielle (when we were first married) to Manasquan regularly. Really quaint shore towns.

I think in an actual study (don't remember which), MA drivers were considered the worst in the whole country.

Well where we live, dh said he had never seen so many drivers run red lights. We are always careful when a light turns green. We wait an extra few seconds and make sure no one is coming from the other direction.

I think you got it backwards. According to this graphic, they're the best.

MD gets pulled down likely by Baltimore, which according to Allstate, is the #1 city for the worst drivers. DC is right behind it, although I'd rather drive in Baltimore than DC. How typical. There's the rest of the state, and then there's Baltimore.

MD gets pulled down likely by Baltimore, which according to Allstate, is the #1 city for the worst drivers. DC is right behind it, although I'd rather drive in Baltimore than DC. How typical. There's the rest of the state, and then there's Baltimore.

You are correct. I remembered the poll I was referring to incorrectly. It was for the worst traffic and not worst drivers. Boston has the worst traffic in the nation.

Nice to see that there are some lovely nature areas in Jersey. I'm always drawn to nature areas. (Never been to Jersey, but I had always assumed there must be more than just the infamous (TV) "Jersey Shore" area!)

Something either got on the line like a squirrel to make it flicker. Or they had to kill the power to change something over and put online.

I see squirrels on the various lines around here (telephone, power, whatever). Never had lights flicker due to that, so I'm thinking that the squirrels in your area must be particularly talented to pull off this stunt every now and then?!

I believe you are right!! It looks just like it! Wow we have a lot of frog species! I wonder if they have just moved into our area since we’ve never seen them before.

Update for @ajrwdwgirl -- decided to take up your tip, and looked up Downton Abbey on my local library's catalog -- and they had it!! Walked there this morning, and picked up the DVD of the first season (7 episodes). Funny thing is that the librarian who checked it out for me, was a mega-fan of the series! Ha! (small world)

Watched 3 hours so far -- love it!!! Hoping by the time I get ready for the second season, they'll have the DVD available, too. (Our library is large, and also tied in to a huge regional network. Sometimes if a copy of something is out, they'll pull it from another city and have it sent to my library, but you have to wait a few days.)

I wouldn't be surprised. My dad used to work at utility company from the electrical side of things. The employees at work found a bunch of animals though the years at substations including nasty squirrels, chipmunks, etc.

I said nasty squirrels because I heard from dad in the past that they actually wait for electricians to arrive at substation to do maintenance. The squirrels actually plot to leap at electricians.

I know a transformer didn't blow because it would've took way longer to be the power back.

Wisconsin doesn't rank too bad, about middle of the pack. Although my husband tells me I drive like a Minnesota driver.

I'm glad you were able to get a copy and that you are enjoying it. Sounds like you might as well get the library to round up the rest of the seasons for you. Our library system is like that too, it incorporates many libraries in the area. I usually order my books/dvd's online and then just pick them up at the library when they arrive.

Yeah, I might be on Disney + binge watching too. I'm actually planning on binge watching Disney+ the weekend it comes out.
