In any case an Aladdin e ticket would kick posterior. I don’t want a puny little attraction for such an awesome IP.
long overdue!

I'm definitely not against new rides in the World Showcase, it just has to fit its country's pavilion. Ratatouille meets the criteria and one of the most important rules, it actually takes place in a real city in France.
Anyone with info on, what is I assume to be, the flat cityscape? Any chance there will be additional set pieces behind the one shown, to properly create a depth of field? I fear this will look exactly like what it is, flat.
They're not finished.Anyone with info on, what is I assume to be, the flat cityscape? Any chance there will be additional set pieces behind the one shown, to properly create a depth of field? I fear this will look exactly like what it is, flat.
I understand. There just doesn't appear to be anywhere behind that facade to anchor any additional set pieces, so I thought I'd ask. They're not finished.
There will be more depth. Still trying to determine if they'll move the Eiffel Tower. Anyone heard? They will need to soon, if they're going to...I understand. There just doesn't appear to be anywhere behind that facade to anchor any additional set pieces, so I thought I'd ask.
I had asked a while back about whether they would "spruce up" those two facades and IIRC @marni1971 said it was planned but it may or may not happen. I'd have to dig for a quote. There will be more depth. Still trying to determine if they'll move the Eiffel Tower. Anyone heard? They will need to soon, if they're going to...
The building the Eiffel Tower sits atop is funky with those three windows at the bottom and something that one of our resident architects surely can ID that prevents a fourth window. I presume low trees will block the low view but if you can presumably see the three windows that are there, won't you see the gap?
Curious to see how this all looks when we are actually in the park. I have a general idea of plans but one never fully knows sightlines until you're in the park.
It was one of a few options. There will be more depth. Still trying to determine if they'll move the Eiffel Tower. Anyone heard? They will need to soon, if they're going to...
I don't like the word "was" in that response but I hope I'm reading the tea leaves incorrectly. It was one of a few options.
There was move, remove or leave. Views from the Rat entrance area should be obscured anyway, and the Gondolas were accepted to have an issue with backstage views (hence the wraps on a lot of them). So I’d assume leave.I don't like the word "was" in that response but I hope I'm reading the tea leaves incorrectly.
Interesting, I must have missed this on this multi-thousand page Gondola thread: the reasoning for wraps was, at least partially, to block unflattering backstage views? I had figured they were see through or something.... the Gondolas were accepted to have an issue with backstage views (hence the wraps on a lot of them).
I had the same thought. I don't think I would like riding in a gondola car that I couldn't see out of. I want the nice view from that height.Interesting, I must have missed this on this multi-thousand page Gondola thread: the reasoning for wraps was, at least partially, to block unflattering backstage views? Now not all of them are wrapped, so I assume that they scrapped the hiding bad views aspect of the gondolas?
Oh it's moved on from lightning and cooking to hail raining down daily and denting/smashing them all.I had the same thought. I don't think I would like riding in a gondola car that I couldn't see out of. I want the nice view from that height.
//cue all comments about furnaces don't come with a view and it's so you don't see the lightening when it strikes you in 3...2...
well as long as they bring their death certificate its not a long trip to the eternal comfort of the Haunted Mansion...Oh it's moved on from lighting and cooking to hail raining down daily and denting/smashing them all.
Well, it's unlikely hail will even dent these gondolas, since they're clad in the same polycarbonate shell used in football helmets to help keep the players safe.Oh it's moved on from lightning and cooking to hail raining down daily and denting/smashing them all.
Foreshadowing the forthcoming spread of the Army of the Gondola Dead. The Gondola Thread is spreading again.
