Brown rice is a protein. You could put in kidney beans for color. I pureed half the soup. You could put them in the puree part and that would thicken the soup without using flour. I ate more for lunch today. It is so good!

he's scheduled to be off right before the snow starts on Saturday I'm going to sort a couple of piles of movies to watch some time tomorrow, and get out to do my grocery shopping at the crack of dawn Thursday. My plan make no plans until next Wednesday

Let me just say that I would be happier with snow on Saturday night. Freezing rain right now. Driving home from Maryland on Saturday evening will not be fun in ice, even on a highway.

Just as I was getting out of my car at the office, I felt my first sustained (more than a few seconds) SVT heart event in over a decade (last was in Dec. of ‘08) kick in. Didn’t get sprung from the ER ‘til a little before 2p.
Fortunately, I didn’t adenosine to convert, and all tests came back negative for anything worse than the actual event.
There goes one of my 2 extra personal days the firm gave us this year...!!!!!
