I love onions--raw, cooked, doesn't matter. My favorite soup is onion soup, by the way.

You bring up onion soup and I'm thinking about makin chicken and dumplings

It was fine just wet, although my windshield was all ice. Now I'll just have to worry about tomorrow. The temp will be lower so all the stuff that was wet will freeze.

For those of you with kids, and who shop at this store for clothing, etc. -- I heard on the morning business report that GYMBOREE is closing down all 900 stores, and filing for bankruptcy.

That stinks although I don't ever remember shopping at one.

Not a whole day off, maybe a 2 hour delay if it is super icy. I'm not banking on it though.

They also owned Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8's -- so if I understood the report correctly, those store names are also included in the 900.

Today’s Drama with 21Stamps-


T has 3 tests tomorrow. Spanish, Science, and Language Arts.
He did not bring one book home from school today. NOT ONE. I’m furious.

For the second time in a month- I’m so mad at my son right now. So mad that I had to take a deep breath and collect myself before talking to him. I spoke calmly,, didn’t lose my temper like I thought I would. But I almost did just now.
I have taken his Switch, his iPad, his Echo, locked his playroom- after I rounded up toys in his room and put them in as well. He is grounded from everything.

He doesn’t have an excuse. Just a “Mom, I’m sorry, I just forgot!”

How do you forget???????


I think he’ll do fine on the Spanish and Language Arts... but he still wasn’t answering correctly/ fully understanding the Science material when we studied over the weekend. This is a huge test.. a huge part of their science grade.. and my kid didn’t bring home the books to study.

I just told him to get ready for bed, that I’m disappointed in him, and he better pray to God that he doesn’t fail a test.
Probably not the best thing for me to say, but I just don’t understand how he would do this.


His bedtime is not usually 9:30/10pm.I typed up a vocabulary study guide with many of the science words last week.. he was able to study those tonight. They’ve been preparing for this since before Christmas break. We are so busy, all of the time.. that we must be wise with our time and studying. He knows all of this!!!! I’m calming down and going to give him some words of encouragement when he comes out of the shower., but I’m so worried about his performance tomorrow.

The like is for not losing it. You missed when I went all tiger mom on James for getting a B+ a couple of years ago. I went tiger mom over his not studying not the grade

Some of the people still working in the Government have determined that the epicenter for that particular malady is Washington, DC and the north wind is blowing it in a southern direction. I'm hoping to get a vaccination soon.

Note to self don't check the weather. If all goes wrong I can get over 2 feet of snow with a finish of ice FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks it was actually just wet when I went outside, but as it gets colder it will probably be slick. We had chicken cordon blue, wild rice and will probably watch a Disney movie. Or if hubs gets his way....a combination horror comedy show called The Bachelor.

Just wait until they're in the adult department for everrything My youngest wears a size small/tall shirt, they a so fun to try and find NOT! The one good thing about him doing home school this yea is I make all his "school" clothes

Good luck, I'm setting all my blowers to @MinnieM123 I don't want any snow either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have one whole day and want to do something fun for my older ds' birthday. Worst case if we're stuck inside is I'll cook something special but there's a new restaurant he wants to try shhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! and I'm can't make reservations until I know what the weather will be like
