Another sympathy like. Please, don't let it blow my way. I have traveling to do on Saturday!Note to self don't check the weather. If all goes wrong I can get over 2 feet of snow with a finish of iceFLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just what I was thinking. And it is much better to learn this lesson, and for T to take ownership of his education, than to still not have it figured out by high school.Sounds like some of my students. In the end he might not do as well as if he studied but it could also open his eyes to the importance of studying if he doesn't do well.
Wow. I used to love browsing through there when the kids were little. When DS hit the T sizes, everything was cammo. Not my style, and he was too little to have one. But, the little girl stuff was so cute! When I had a little girl, I used to love going in there. For those of you with kids, and who shop at this store for clothing, etc. -- I heard on the morning business report that GYMBOREE is closing down all 900 stores, and filing for bankruptcy.
Oh boy. They also owned Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8's -- so if I understood the report correctly, those store names are also included in the 900.
Awwww! Memories.3 days until Winnie the Pooh Day View attachment 341036
I was thinking of adding some black beans for more protein. Do you think it would taste ok?My dh doesn’t like onion, so I just pre-cooked them and added them to mine.![]()
Oh goodness it is. That one looks super hard.
I'd never do that my blowers are pointed straight to @MinnieM123Another sympathy like. Please, don't let it blow my way. I have traveling to do on Saturday!

Congrats!Bought MNSSHP tickets for Sept today.... !
Congrats!
I hope he did well. Remember he is just 8 and will not always remember things that as an adult you know you should remember. We forget things too. He is not a dumb kid. If he doesn't do well then he will learn for next time. He seems like an achiever after all. I am surprised that the teacher didn't remind the kids though to take their books home to study.Today’s Drama with 21Stamps-
T has 3 tests tomorrow. Spanish, Science, and Language Arts.
He did not bring one book home from school today. NOT ONE. I’m furious.
For the second time in a month- I’m so mad at my son right now. So mad that I had to take a deep breath and collect myself before talking to him. I spoke calmly,, didn’t lose my temper like I thought I would. But I almost did just now.
I have taken his Switch, his iPad, his Echo, locked his playroom- after I rounded up toys in his room and put them in as well. He is grounded from everything.
He doesn’t have an excuse. Just a “Mom, I’m sorry, I just forgot!”
How do you forget???????
I think he’ll do fine on the Spanish and Language Arts... but he still wasn’t answering correctly/ fully understanding the Science material when we studied over the weekend. This is a huge test.. a huge part of their science grade.. and my kid didn’t bring home the books to study.
I just told him to get ready for bed, that I’m disappointed in him, and he better pray to God that he doesn’t fail a test.
Probably not the best thing for me to say, but I just don’t understand how he would do this.
His bedtime is not usually 9:30/10pm.I typed up a vocabulary study guide with many of the science words last week.. he was able to study those tonight. They’ve been preparing for this since before Christmas break. We are so busy, all of the time.. that we must be wise with our time and studying. He knows all of this!!!! I’m calming down and going to give him some words of encouragement when he comes out of the shower., but I’m so worried about his performance tomorrow.
Yep, I think all us regulars totally get the reference. My posts came across at lot more Mommy Dearest than they’re meant to sound.
(I don’t even know if anyone is old enough to even get this reference)
Oh carp!!!!!!!!!! I am going to cry! I loved that store. This totally, totally sucks!!!! They had such cute clothing, and lately the prices have been so reasonable. They used to be more expensive when my older 2 were younger. Now the sales have been amazing. For years all my kids would wear was Gymboree. My older 2 have outgrown them. I will admit that the styling the last bunch of years was not the best and I have drifted to other brands because of it. My 2 younger ones are actually wearing full Gymboree outfits today. They are so cute too. Ugh, and now the vultures will ascend on these stores and get all they can for the least amount of money. If only they had shopped their before maybe the store could stay in business. I am guessing though it was bad management. Ugh and the Spring collection looks so cute actually. I wonder if they will keep the online business, or if it will go. So sad. I hate when businesses close. I feel so bad for the employees. For those of you with kids, and who shop at this store for clothing, etc. -- I heard on the morning business report that GYMBOREE is closing down all 900 stores, and filing for bankruptcy.
I read one article and it said they hope to save Janie and Jack. They also owned Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8's -- so if I understood the report correctly, those store names are also included in the 900.
