Disney does not want to draw attention to the towers. They will use landscaping at the bases where needed. They are galvanized for corrosion protection. The cabins will have wraps with Disney characters.

If that's a serious idea, it's possible tech-wise. Just treat it like any of those themed elevators, but sideways. The only issue is supplying the power to the gondola.

If it's not a serious idea, then they should make it require 3D glasses, stick pneumatic actuators in the seats, and include a big animatronic locust - wait, that's Tough to Be A Bug. Sorry.

Serious response: OLED/AMOLED/LED panels put out so little heat it wouldn't be a concern with proper ventilation.

The towers around the International Gateway are green, so not like the rest. Anyone know why they chose to have colored ones there but no where else?

Maybe the nubs are attachment points for removable maintenance ladders? And maybe they're only needed at CBR because those are the only towers that need to be climbed for maintenance because bucket trucks can't easily get to the towers there unlike the other towers outside of CBR?

The CBR towers are also the only ones which are as tall as they are. Perhaps they play a role during maintenance and/or evacuation procedures. (Tie downs for guidelines (?) )
