I shift between utter bemusement and hotter than gondola passenger blood boiling rage every time I catch up on this thread.

Anyways I had the chance to check out Big Sky’s D-liner (which is currently the only Dopplemayr North American installation until Disney comes online).

I want to reiterate what @Lift Blog said about how quiet this thing is. A detachable quad (Swift current) exists about 50 meters away. While it has that typical 1/3 volume of a lawn mower/generator... that’s about all you can actually hear standing in line for Ramcharger. It really makes almost no noise whatsoever.

A little bit of a low frequency hum as you crest towers (but no high frequency slight vibration that some chairlifts can occasionally get). Smooth as silk and oh so sexy.

Photo proof that I rode it and survived. Moments before the sun popped out and another cabin burst into flames (amateurs).

Apologies in advance if this has already been heavily discussed but are there any plans to theme the gondola supports in any fashion? I’m assuming the answer would be yes (hopefully) but haven’t seen anything confirming it. Thanks
