September??? Free dining? Sorry I haven't been keeping overly current.

Can I suggest calling Disney Dining reservations? There is at times a hiccup for all sorts of reasons. They are usually belatedly honest. If the restaurant is off the ADR but a rehab hasn't been announced they tend to say it isn't you, this venue hasn't opened up yet. Also try harder for the middle or end of your trip. Others had opportunities for your earlier dates if they had a trip booked earlier than yours. But knowing it is loaded vs an unannounced refurb todate so blocked out is good to know by calling as you won't find that online yet.

It's not that serious!! But yes there will likely be free dining offered when the deals come out. I hadn't thought of that!!

I have a Kona reservation for the night i wanted, and i snagged an Ohana reservation for a couple days later which will likely get cancelled because it doesn't really work with the plans. Plus that's carnival night at our resort, so food plus caramel apple and popcorn and face painting and balloon animals for $17.95 for both of us sounds better than $80 a block away, lol.

Well, everyone. I'm sorry to report that I will be deleting my account tonight. Short explanation. - I have been visiting the political board too often and my responses to what I consider toxic posts from the far right on the recent school shooting are now being deleted. I don't play that.

It has been a lot of fun chatting and sharing stories with all of you over the years. You are a really warm and wonderful community. I wish you all the best, and if anyone wants to stay in touch, you can find me on Facebook under my name, Buddy Thomas.

May your futures be filled with great health, great wealth, and many more great trips to Disney. Love you all.

UGH!!! :banghead: Oh NO!!! Don't do it, Buddy. You have many friends on these boards. Although I don't usually read the section of the the forum you mentioned, I am sorry that you didn't feel welcome by some there. But my point is that this is a very large forum, with many different sections, and many different members.

Please reconsider--so many of us have enjoyed your posts (in TRs and Chit Chat, in particular) and feel that you are a wonderful contributor to the forums. Hoping you'll just take a break here and return--I mean that sincerely.

Waking up today counting my blessings. My phone is my alarm clock. At some point yesterday the dogs were playing and knocked my phone charger out of the wall. I hadn't realized that last night when i plugged my phone in. This morning it had just enough juice to sound my alarm before dying. Thank goodness it lived long enough to wake me up on time!!!

Wish me luck again. No nap yesterday, my dh was home last night making noise so yet again I didn't get much sleep. I'm going to try and get a nap when the boys leave. It won't happen til I get texts saying they've arrived safely. It's icy enough that there should be a delay but none has been posted as of yet. Tonight's dinner groundhog goulash

Its related to the possibility that I cant hear alarms and other things or listen to emergency notifications.

But where I work (hospital) there are very bright, alarm lights that flash/pulse for the hearing impaired. (Also, it's a specifically timed flashing sequence, so not to affect epileptic patients, by the way.)

So there are both audible and vision alarms. Just wondering if that's not standard everywhere?

Lack of consistent sleep can really mess you up. Sorry to hear that, and hope he can be a little quieter, after the rest of the family has gone to bed for the night.

"Groundhog Goulash" So funny! @figmentfan423 :D
Today is a once a month tradition at my elementary school.....it's called "Birthday Breakfast"
One grade level is assigned to bring in a variety of breakfast items....enough for the entire staff. I'm always hoping for a variety of doughnuts, yet most people are bagel fans.
How 'bout you guys? Do you prefer a good bagel or a good doughnut?

My kids were so anticipating the new Sims (sp???) app coming out, long awaited. My DD is so disappointed. It is based off the Sims but so not the same, the original about building this one is a game. Sadness. :(:cry:
I had the original SIM game for my old Apple. It was so much fun trying to build a city. Now it is just weird. Completely different than the original.

I would skip Ohana for the carnival night. There are no characters at night and the price for a kid is ridiculous. A will have way more fun at the carnival night.
