UGH!!! :banghead: Oh NO!!! Don't do it, Buddy. You have many friends on these boards. Although I don't usually read the section of the the forum you mentioned, I am sorry that you didn't feel welcome by some there. But my point is that this is a very large forum, with many different sections, and many different members.

Please reconsider--so many of us have enjoyed your posts (in TRs and Chit Chat, in particular) and feel that you are a wonderful contributor to the forums. Hoping you'll just take a break here and return--I mean that sincerely.
Not everyone is on Facebook. I've never joined and don't plan to either. Hoping Buddy comes back here . . .
Everything you said @MinnieM123 . I don't see a need on a Disney forum to discuss politics. I understand why they created the political forum though. Hopefully when he has time to cool off and understand there are way more fun and happier parts of the forum he will come back. I personally try and avoid things that I know will annoy me. Life is hard enough, no need to purposely aggravate yourself.

I would skip Ohana for the carnival night. There are no characters at night and the price for a kid is ridiculous. A will have way more fun at the carnival night.

Yeah I think she would too. I've cancelled the reservation later in the week. The one night I want to do Ohana and then watch fireworks from the beach, I have Kona Cafe ressies. Looking at their menu, I feel like we can live with that. I'm still hoping it will pop up for the night I need it, but if not, no real worries.

And kids eat free at the carnival night. You really cannot beat $18 for the both of us to eat at a buffet.

"Groundhog Goulash" So funny! @figmentfan423 :D
Today is a once a month tradition at my elementary school.....it's called "Birthday Breakfast"
One grade level is assigned to bring in a variety of breakfast items....enough for the entire staff. I'm always hoping for a variety of doughnuts, yet most people are bagel fans.
How 'bout you guys? Do you prefer a good bagel or a good doughnut?
Bagels most definitely. If I could find a decent chocolate croissant like they have at Disney, I would eat that instead.:hungry:

You can also eat at Captain Cooks at the Poly.

I think the mods made it because so many threads/subjects were turning political. I appreciate that section.. I think it’s kind of neat to talk about subjects with people you don’t know personally, but all share at least Disney in common. For the most part, it’s respectful and not nasty. Definitely not everyone’s cup of tea though, which is totally understandable.

Kona is a great restaurant! I’ve never had a bad meal there.

The carnival night sounds super fun. I’m sure A will have a great time!

dryerlintfan provided the answer.
This forum's nice posters make use of so many abbreviations!
DD.....DS...DW....DH....
....................in music we have abbreviations also.

Who knows either of these?
#1 D.C. al Fine
or
#2 D.S. al Coda
I know what you are supposed to do when you see those. Does that count? ;) I used to know the literal meaning, but if I look it up that would be cheating.:angelic:

When I was a teenager running amusement rides at my summer job, a customer asked me: "Where's the head?" I said "on the neck". He got annoyed but at that point in my young life I had not yet learned that "the head" was a military man's term for the bathroom.
Edit:
Google attributes it to the Navy.
I didn't know that. If you were at an amusement park, I would have thought it meant where the beginning of the line was for a ride. I actually didn't know that head meant bathroom. I learned something new today.:)

It definitely counts.
Don't worry about being fancy.
I never am.
D.C. al Fine means: "Go back to the beginning and stop at the Fine(Finish)
D. S. al Coda means: "Go back to the Swirly Sign and then jump to the Coda(special ending)
:)
