I kinda agree with this. At the end of the movie I thought to myself "I hope 9 gives some reasons for why XYZ happened in 8". But then after thinking on it, I almost feel like I don't care. I was on my way up to the California Grill and a was asked by the guy running the elevator what I thought of 8, I responded with only "7 out of 10". I was never a big theater person but Star Wars was always one I would make it a night out with a friend or 2. I'm just not looking forward to 9 like I did with 7 and 8. And Solo?

However, I did see The Greatest Showman and ended up enjoying that more since there was a pay off at the end. Besides, Wolverine makes a good singer.
I absolutely love Star Wars. Look at my Lego collection. That reaches back to the original 1999 sets, owning most of 1999-2002 run. But I'm actually worried that Disney is going to run Star Wars into the ground to the point where I'll just ignore it. Yes there are many different characters you can branch into, but how many stories can you make out of "bad guy is bad because big gun/take over galaxy, main good guy conflicted, good guy wins"? I'll still buy a UCS Lego set here and there, but I won't be making an effort of seeing the movies after a while.
