So DH took DS to school this morning for his first day in the new school. (I had a thing at DD's school) So he apped me that they got there and a girl DS knows from Chess came up and just took him under her wing, telling him where he could put his bag, and inviting him to come play tag with her and some other kids. Already a great start. I picked him up and asked him how his day was and he smiled so big and said "GREAT!" and I almost cried because I don't think he has EVER had a "great" day at school before. He made 4 friends...one of whom was assigned as his buddy to help him get used to the rules and the agenda, etc. So far, so good.
And my FIL got to go home today. YAY!!
Sounds great! I hope things at this new school continue to go well for your son. And good news that your FIL is home.

. I just want to put a bowl of candy on the porch and whatever happens happens, hubs says he will sit on the porch and hand it out but it will probably end up being me. I think I'm back to not liking Halloween.
