Ah Soarin 2.0, Hardly groundbreaking but WDW fans are so desperate for SOMETHING new they will rave about it. It's nice I'm sure but greatest E-ticket in Disney history ah no.
Zzz. Same old schtick. You haven't ridden it.

Nope and I have NO INTENTION OF EVER RIDING IT. Such is my level of digust for the source material.
As for those who said no matter what I said about avatar id be there riding it well Bzzzt wrong.
I just find a delicious irony that an anti-capitalist screed like Avatar is the current showpiece of Disney one of the greediest corporations on the planet.
And in Other News
Disney may be prohibited from distributibg or using Guardians of The Galaxy, Beauty and the Beast, Age of Ultron IP,
because face capture technology allegedly stolen by a Chinese firm was integral for their production apparently US studios were warned about this but Disney chose to ignore the warning other US studios did heed the warning.
Oopsie all that valuable MARVEL IP just turned to dust and ashes because Iger followed the demands of his Chinese masters.

Well ... good for you? then ... that'll show em ... too bad you can't channel all of this into doing something productive in regards to making a change at how the company is run.
Wow the coloring is so much better compared to the other Marvel films. I'm more hyped for this than I was for GOTG
LMAOOOOOO you are so full of it!!!!Nope and I have NO INTENTION OF EVER RIDING IT. Such is my level of digust for the source material.

Can everyone just declare this cat the winner and right and a theme park genius so they can leave and go chase a ball of yarn? This pssycat mucks a lot of threads up with his litter.
Avatar actually fits perfectly at the park, and has ZERO connection to the movie's characters. Flight of Passage is completely different as you are pushed into the screen, so you are essentially 100% surrounded by the screen. It also has a motion base more akin to Simpsons, and the queue, land, and visuals are so good you forget you are about to ride/riding a simulator. Not to mention the effects throughout and that it is a unique type of ride for the park. It's ironically better than every single one of Universal's combined.
Why don't you go back to Disney World for the 50th, and see if you'll be so sad as a Disney fan. Yes, I understand you're not a troll as it is troubling how Disney has changed something that you care about so deeply, but as a fan to never want to experience something again is actually overkill. Especially if many changes like Pandora, TRON, and Star Wars have no faults as far as placement. GMR being replaced, and EPCOT Center as a whole is what's changing, but part of that is also linked to changing what the parks stand for. They're evolving, maybe not the way we like them, but they are getting quality additions. That's a big deal, and if you can afford it, why not check it out to see if they're different, but also pretty awesome. Maintenance is far superior to what it was a few years ago, and there will be loads of new rides.
I actually wonder at times why I still care what happens at WDW, other than owning 800 DVC points which i will probably sell sooner than later. But I make money renting em out for now.
As to DL used to visit regularly back when I had a premier passport so whenever i was in the LA area I used to drop by.
back in 2015 i was so disgusted by the cuts, cheap IP overlays and price increases. I just said why are we paying nearly 5000 bucks a year for this crap and endless visits to GR to fix technical glitches
Unfortunately WDW is now seen more as a 'rite of passage' and not a 'resort' in classic terms. And Disney is responding logically to this, however the logical response is not the correct one and its damaging the brand. But given that going forward cheap IP based attractions are the wave of the future as opposed to the immersive experiences once common at WDW.
Its ironic that Disney is now pushing their 360 concept when their attractions are less immersive than ever.
As to new stuff for the 50'th i don't belive more than a third of it will happen
As to bad things happening financially to Disney ive watched a lot of big companies fail over the years and Disney is showing all the signs if you are looking for them and ignoring the shiny baubles dangled to distract.
Its for this reason more than any other ill sell my DVC as sales and reorgs are typically not kind to timeshare owners
You can love something and dislike how it is currently headed. Surprisingly Disney has been a company longer than 10 years! Not trying to be a jerk, but just wanting to understand, as I haven't been here too terribly long, but why hang around an enthusiast forum if you have so much disdain for the place?

Bzzzzzzt!
The Mandarin language production of "The Lion King" at SDR's Disneytown will close this November. New Broadway musical (Beauty and the Beast?) coming in 2018.

One wonders how much of this early closure, they were offering generous discounts on tickets at one point, can be attributed to Disneytown's location far away from the SDR metro station given the struggles of other vendors.
Ok, then keep feeding the troll as it's very clear that is what they are going for.

So true, watching Disney these days is like watching a slow motion trainwreck.
